00:04See, I'm sneaking in the boots right now because that's for the next album.
00:08I love me a little dirty cowboy boot, for sure.
00:16Hey, what's good, y'all? It's Isaiah Falls, and I'm here with Ebony.
00:19I think a big thing that influences my music got to be me growing up in church
00:24and just like the really soulful music.
00:28I like a lot of organic sounds, so like my family being the band,
00:33it was just like the drums, the bass, the guitar, like all of those bongos,
00:39percussion, things like that, like all of that impacts my music and it's all in there.
00:43There's a little bit of everything when it comes to making music.
00:46I think I kind of approach making a song many different ways,
00:50but one of my favorite ways to start is me alone, chilling,
00:56and I start, I'll record the song and then I'll bring it to my team
00:59and we kind of all dive in on it together.
01:01And that's really like one of my favorite processes.
01:04I think what has me inspired right now is the idea of finally dropping an album
01:10and being able to start fresh.
01:11I think a lot of artists can relate to the idea of being like,
01:14okay, I'm done. What do I want to do next?
01:17And I think a lot of that inspires me.
01:21Also the idea of creating another world.
01:23Like I think I spent a lot of time building worlds for my albums.
01:28And now that this one's done, I get to build another one.
01:31So I'm just excited for continuing to create.
01:34I think setting the mood is definitely like this important in my music.
01:38For me personally, I got to get in the actual mood that they would be in.
01:41So like a lot of time when I'm recording, I'll light a candle.
01:44I'll set the lights to like a little dim orange.
01:48So it's like real comfortable and warm in there.
01:51And when I make music, I have to be comfortable.
01:54So if I'm really comfortable, you don't hear the music
01:56and you don't get that feeling from the song.
01:59I'm excited about this album, to be honest.
02:01This album is close to five years in the making.
02:04And it's just been a long, long journey.
02:07It's actually so crazy to me that I finally get to finish this album.
02:12Because Drugs and Lullabies was actually kind of like...
02:18How can I say it?
02:19Lover's Paradise was put on pause to make Drugs and Lullabies.
02:23When we first caught Flo the Baby.
02:25So the fact that I finally get to resume and finish this album.
02:29Do the end cap of it.
02:30I just know it's gonna be worth it.
02:33Some of the songs on there are four years old, five years old.
02:37And they still stand the test of time.
02:39So I know y'all are gonna appreciate it.
02:40Toward being able to see my fans and like personally being able to give them hugs.
02:44Say what's up to them.
02:45Actually see their smiles and their expressions when we sing the music too.
02:49It's like that's more important than actually just making the music at the end of the day.
02:53For me, it's just I'm so excited to see them.
02:55Maybe jump in the crowd.
02:57This year gonna be a little more demure.
02:59It's gonna be a little more smooth.
03:00We gonna be in suits and ties a little bit nicer than last year.
03:04Last year I was in the crowd getting crazy.
03:06This year we chillin'.
03:08We gonna have a glass of wine or something on stage with it.
03:10But it's gonna be nice to see everybody.
03:12I'm excited for this year.
03:13Step by step really is kind of the beautiful part of this journey.
03:17I think every artist could understand that we don't know what the next step is.
03:22We don't know what's gonna work.
03:23But the beauty of trying things, throwing things at the walls, seeing what's gonna stick is kind of beautiful.
