00:00The Court of Appeal has ruled that four accused must enter their defense to the murder of

00:06T. Naveen, overturning the High Court's dismissal of the case against them three years

00:11ago.

00:12The case will now return to the High Court in Georgetown, where they will be asked to

00:16enter their defense.

00:18A three-judge panel comprising Justices Cherouzima Ghazali, Zaini Mazlan, and Nuremba Darudin

00:24ruled that the prosecution had proven a prima facie case against the accused to warrant

00:28the calling of their defense.

00:31Rouzima said the panel agreed with the arguments raised by the prosecutors and found that the

00:35High Court judge erred in rejecting their case.

00:38The panel further ordered that the accused be placed in remand pending trial.

00:43The four individuals were acquitted in 2023, giving rise to the present appeal.

00:49They are charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code for Naveen's murder, who died

00:53in 2017 following a brutal attack by a group of teenagers at a park in Bukit Galugor.
