00:08Seattle's longtime coach, who's not there anymore, got dismissed at the end of last

00:13Pete Carroll, you know, one of the legendary NFL coaches, say what you will, he's obviously

00:17won championships.

00:18He's had a lot of success in the league, even though he's north of 70 now, you know, Bill

00:23Belichick couldn't get himself a job, had to go back to the college ranks.

00:28There's interest, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN, in Pete Carroll, between Pete Carroll

00:34and the Chicago Bears.

00:36To read the tweet, Pete Carroll's expressed interest in the Bears' job, would like to

00:40return to the sideline next season.

00:42One of four head coaches to have led his teams to both a national championship and the Super

00:46Bowl.

00:47The others, Barry Switzer, Jimmy Johnson, a couple of Cowboys, and Jim Harbaugh, who

00:52was back in the league, obviously, with LA after winning a title there with Michigan.

00:57Would Pete Carroll come back, you know, actually get the job with Chicago?

01:01And if he did, this team, which, as we know, has just been in flux, but has a lot of talent

01:08there, starting with Caleb Williams, the number one overall pick, what kind of difference

01:11maker would Pete Carroll be?

01:15What is he, 77, 76, like, what are you doing, Pete, like, I don't know that anybody will

01:22take it seriously.

01:23I mean, it's nice to know that he wants to come in, but it feels like, at this point,

01:27Pete Carroll's more in an advisory role than he is the day-to-day of putting him in charge

01:33as a head coach of this football team that is desperately looking for stability.

01:38You know, hire a 77-year-old, you know, head coach, how much stability is there?

01:43What are we looking at?

01:44I just looked it up, 73.

01:47It's, oh, stick a fork, everyone's yelling that you hired Belichick of North Carolina.

01:51What do you think you're hiring at Pete Carroll there?

01:54But again, there comes risks to it, hiring a 73-year-old when you're looking for stability.

02:00I mean, he certainly has the track record, but is that the direction the Bears want to

02:05go?

02:06And does Pete really want to work for the McCluskey family?

02:08I mean, this is one of the worst ownership groups in the NFL outside of Cincinnati, and

02:14that's saying something there.

02:16This is not, or the Jets, but that's a whole different story.

02:20This is not exactly an organization that has their stuff together here.

02:24Listen, they're going to go through the process.

02:27They're going to end up hiring the wrong guy again, and the cycle is just going to repeat

02:31here.

02:32I got no faith in the Bears.

02:34I even less faith in them showing up and being any sorts of in this game here tonight against

02:41Seattle.

02:42I think this is a disaster tonight, much like the two blowouts we got on Christmas.
