00:00In the beginning, I invited our professors to my house and treated Korean food.
00:06They feel that they cannot even taste, they really refuse to taste the Korean food.
00:30We are here in the premises of A.N. College and this college has been teaching students across
00:37Bihar the Korean language and we are here with some of the students and teachers and we'll talk
00:43to them to know more about Korea. So I started learning Korean language at Nalanda University
00:48where my mission used to teach that and learning Korean is like to begin with any foreign language
00:53Korean language I feel it's very easy because it has like 45 letters of alphabet and later on
00:59when I started studying I started to know about more about the culture which is almost similar
01:04about the history what we shared before. When I was in school I was a huge fan of K-pop
01:10so I have always been a BTS ARMY so I wanted to learn Korean. Korean culture is very interesting
01:18and very fun to know about because we all like very into Korean culture and K-pop and K-dramas.
01:29I came to 1997 with my husband with a small baby one year old. That time when I asked people do you
01:46know about Korea? Almost nobody knew and they said oh I know Japan or I know China but I do not know
01:54Korea. I felt oh how come people do not know Korea that much but nowadays almost everyone when I ask
02:03them do you know Korea? Everybody say yes we know BTS they are saying. In the beginning I invited
02:10our professors to my house and treated Korean food. They feel that they cannot even taste
02:17they really refuse to taste the Korean food but these days especially youth and youngsters
02:23they are fond of Korean food they go to Delhi to taste the Korean food. Tteokbokki, kimbap, kimchi
02:30they knew much more even than me okay so I feel now really Korean yeah K-wave they said it's
02:40spreading all over the world even into Patna, Bihar also. I think media made a great role
02:47to make Korea known to the world actually and through Korean culture K-pop, K-drama and K-movie
02:55K-food and you know many people are now start to enjoy different areas of Korean culture.
03:02So I want to be a lawyer in relation to international laws. One of the main reasons I'm learning Korean here is
03:19to complete my Korean course and then pursue law with that. Personally I really like to learn
03:25about different culture and different country that thing really excites me. So in future I
03:31would like to see myself working in Korea. There are many students they want to get a better job
03:38and some of them even our graduate students they got the job in Samsung company, LG company, Hyundai
03:44company and many of them also went to study abroad in Korea also and they are studying in Korea actually.
03:52Actually I feel at home staying in India because of a part of a culture India has. India is very
04:00family-oriented and they respect elders very much and they respect teachers very much. Actually
04:07nowadays the Korean people they are a bit losing their own Korean traditional and good cultures.
04:15But now I see in India Indian students are very excellent and they really give regards and respect
04:22to teachers and elders parents. So I really want this you know nice culture will not be damaged
04:31and we want to promote even Korean people and Indian people. We will keep very good cultures
04:37will not be damaged and we want to promote even Korean people and Indian people.
04:38We want to promote even Korean people and Indian people.
04:41We will keep very good cultures nicely and develop more.
