00:00The Senate has approved on its final reading a proposed bill aimed at enhancing the quality

00:05and delivery of Early Childhood Care and Development, or ECCD, services in the country.

00:12According to Senator Sherwin Gatchalian, strengthening the ECCD is crucial as it lays a solid foundation

00:19for the future of children, especially those under five years of age.

00:24The new measure will also mandate every city and municipality to establish an ECCD office

00:30under the supervision of their respective mayors.
