00:17Since 2012, stand-up comedian Kanmani Adimulam, better known as Mani,

00:23has opened her heart and home to cats in need, lavishing them with love and humour.

00:29Sadly, in January, Mani was diagnosed with end-stage renal disease.

00:35Three times a week, she goes for hemodialysis treatments, which have taken a toll on her finances.

00:42She also suffers from back pain after strenuous activity, is easily fatigued

00:48and experiences leg cramps during and after dialysis treatments.

00:53Due to these challenges, Mani has made the difficult decision to put 22 of her 42 cats up for adoption.

01:03I'm not happy to see them, especially the ones with damaged eyes.

01:07Because I know nobody will take care of them, so I take care of them.

01:11I do the best that I can.

01:13But unfortunately, right now, financially, I can't afford it.

01:18But I have the spirit, but financially, I can't afford it.

01:21Here are some of the adorable cats who are looking for a new home.

01:25Who knows, perhaps one or two of them might end up with a furry tale ending with you.

01:31Let me say hi to Mia, everybody.

01:34This one is a scammer.

01:38She looks so innocent, but when she gets crazy, she goes crazy, just like every other cat.

01:43So right now, she's behaving because I promised her I'll give her wet food later.

01:47So...

01:49Yeah, see?

01:50They understand.

01:51I can understand.

01:52Like, why do you want to give me up?

01:55I don't want to give you up, but I don't know.

01:59Mia.

02:01This one is very handsome.

02:03Look at how handsome he is.

02:05He's about 8 to 9 months old.

02:09He's a tuxedo cat.

02:11He's very playful.

02:13Very chatty.

02:15So right now, I don't know.

02:16Maybe he's a shy cat.

02:17But he's a shy cat.

02:18So I have to give him up.

02:22Because I have a lot of tuxedo cats.

02:24And I don't have enough flight events to go to.

02:27This is one of the youngest little ones that I have.

02:31No name yet.

02:32So if you adopt, you can give the name.

02:35About 2 months old.

02:38So, yeah, I need adopters for these little kids.

02:41The big, big ones that have been with me for more than 5 years, I can still take care of.

02:47But these little, little fellas need love and a new home.

02:51Kids are well-trained, well-fed.

02:54So you can see their love.

02:56That's why I'm looking for somebody to hire.

02:58Somebody to give the same love that I can give to them.
