00:00I've never seen a dog with those legs ever before.

00:05She was living next to a busy road.

00:08I thought something has happened to her.

00:11I had a cage with me. Luckily, I could catch her.

00:14Easy, it's okay.

00:16Can you go to the bed now? We will help you, yeah?

00:22Louis was a very, very scared dog.

00:26It's okay.

00:33What I was most worried about, of course, were those hind legs.

00:37After the x-rays, it turned out that this is a birth defect that cannot be fixed.

00:46But I also did some research and it said they could be fine.

00:51She'll just need a little bit more care than other dogs, which I was more than okay with.

00:57She was always nervous around humans.

01:03But with time, it turned out when she got stronger, with good food and some exercise,

01:10we realized that she actually overcomes all kinds of obstacles.

01:22Whenever a dog is fully recovered, we would take her to the beach.

01:35If she cannot overcome an obstacle, she would just wait and look at us.

01:45With Chloe, we were quite hesitant because she is so skittish.

02:17Because of her disability, we decided that she would not be able to deal with a new home,

02:24that this would be rather traumatizing for her.

02:27And that's why we decided that we are going to adopt her.

02:34Sometimes I feel like she doesn't even know she's disabled.

02:38The physical progress she has made since the beginning is incredible.

02:44Some days are better than others.

02:50Some days she's quite cuddly.

02:56But I know she's exactly where she was meant to be.
