00:00The Red Force were back in the nets preparing for a stage they are familiar with, the semi-final
00:17of the Regional Super 50 Tournament.
00:19For the sixth straight season, the Red Force have a chance to reach the finals and as defending
00:24champions they have an opportunity to repeat as champions for the first time since the
00:282015-16 season.
00:31And despite having dominated the field again this season, Interim Head Coach Red Emirates
00:35still believe they are yet to hit their stride.
00:38I think we played really good cricket throughout the tournament.
00:41I don't think that we've played our best game as yet.
00:44I think our last game against Barbados we showed signs of where we could be as a team.
00:49You know, we were put under pressure by Reefer and Boucher and we saw the guys come back
00:57and really do well until we shook them.
01:00And then our batting, you know, Django, Webster and Cohn getting a hundred, you know, it was
01:07really good to see.
01:08So I think we're getting there.
01:09We still haven't played our best game but I think we totally deserve to be in the knockout
01:13stages.
01:14With Amir Django finishing as the tournament's top scorer and with three TNT batters in the
01:18top ten, Emirates was happy to see the batting being the catalyst to success.
01:23The batters are stepping up this time around.
01:26The Red Force team, we always rely on our bowlers to win games and win tournaments.
01:30And you know, you always hear the saying that bowlers win tournaments.
01:33But our batting I think this time around is really, really strong.
01:36Guys are putting up their hands and want to do well.
01:38You actually see the hunger in the guys, you know, they really want to do well.
01:41So it's good to see that our batsmen are really putting up their hands and continuously doing well.
01:46After trunks in Barbados by nine wickets in their last game, it will be tricky facing
01:50the Pride soon after, especially with reinforcements.
01:53Yeah, it's not going to be a walkover.
01:55We know that and they're going to obviously come strong with us.
01:59We know where we need to improve as a team.
02:01We know they have, you know, Chase is coming to the team.
02:03He's a very good player.
02:05He's one who's been around and played international cricket.
02:08So we will have our plans against them.
02:10But we just need to cover our bases, know what we could improve on.
02:13And as long as we do that, I think we'll be ready for that.
02:17Outside of Barbados, there's only one concern heading into the knockout match for TNT.
02:22There's a few guys who is a bit under the weather.
02:25It's unfortunate that the virus has hit the team and it's been spreading.
02:29But hopefully we can manage it and they can play with it for a bit.
02:34But that's the only concern now.
02:36We have an injury-free team.
02:39There's a virus that's hit the team.
