00:00Once the perennial bridesmaid of the CPL Guyana Amazon Warriors have a chance to
00:05win back-to-back titles and they go into the final as favorites playing at home
00:09where they have lost just four times since 2023. However two of those four
00:14losses have come against the St. Lucia Kings with the most recent being the
00:18first qualifier. Yet Amazon Warriors coach Lance Klusner believes his players
00:22should rise to the occasion on their own. It's important for the team to run
00:26itself I don't really need to say too much just give give those those players
00:32the platform to be the best. You know team meetings not really about me
00:36talking it's about it's about them talking it's about them them fueling
00:40their own you know their own passion and as I touched on earlier you know playing
00:45for playing for a country as a franchise playing for a country is is a treat and
00:49you know we we're lucky we've got a lot of Guyanese in our team as well so the
00:55boys kind of fuel themselves and that's a bonus. For the Kings this is the St.
00:59Lucia franchise's third trip to the final and coach Darren Sami is only
01:03focused on the present. We started the campaign with one mission and we've the
01:12last game of the tournament that was the goal and Guyana is in our way you know
01:18whatever we've done before that doesn't matter is what we're gonna do on on the
01:23sixth and that's the most important game for us. The opening pair has been
01:27one of the trouble areas for the defending champions but they found
01:31success most recently using Goebbels and Moeen Ali. Despite this coach Kruisner
01:36left the door open for changes depending on certain situations. It will just
01:40depend on the opposition as well you know sometimes a left-right combination
01:45is necessary for example if there's a left-arm spinner you know or players
01:52that that are familiar with opposition bowlers so you know we've seen that with
01:59with people who play together face them face each other in the nets quite a lot
02:03and now you know are playing in opposing teams so we like to take advantage of as
02:09much of that as possible and if that means chopping and changing a little bit
02:14it's something we've been preparing for and speaking about a lot. The Kings on
02:18the other hand have to decide whether to stick with Johan Jeremiah who made a
02:22CPL debut in the qualifier or return to utility player Shadrach Descartes.
02:26However Sami said he and the captain would rely on analytics to pick the
02:31final 11. We are a team that we look at the data in front of us and try to come
02:38up with the best possible 11 that will give us the best chance of winning
02:43you know so tomorrow is that day and myself Avi and Faf will sit down again
02:49and come up with the best combination.
