I think I'm gonna need a bigger bowl!
00:02
Mmm.
00:02
Monja, Monja, bon appétit, let's eat, it's time for Tank's Cooks.
00:12
Monja, Monja, bon appétit, let's eat, it's time for Tank's Cooks.
00:18
It's time, it's time, it's time once again for Happy Halloween!
00:24
Yes, it's Halloween week and you know,
00:27
I decided to make something a little sinister this week.
00:31
Yes, that's right.
00:32
In keeping with the Halloween theme, I'm making some pumpkin bread.
00:36
Yes, pumpkin bread.
00:38
I am making pumpkin bread and we're gonna start off by greasing these pans
00:42
and this is a special type of cooking spray.
00:46
It's got some flour in it.
00:49
So, let's spray down our pan quite nicely.
00:54
Spray down the pan, cooking pan, spray down those pans, those cooking pans.
01:03
All right, so you put a nice little spray on there.
01:06
Now, we're gonna add, we'll start off by adding two cups of flour.
01:12
So, let's get our flour over here into a nice little bowl here.
01:18
We got a bowl and we got to level off the flour when we put it in here.
01:23
So, we'll get two cups of flour, leveled off it says.
01:29
So, let's get our flour, put it into the cup.
01:36
A little bit more flour, a little bit more and we'll level it off.
01:48
Here it is, so that's one cup of flour and then two cups of flour.
01:56
Pumpkin bread, pumpkin bread, gonna make some pumpkin bread.
02:01
Next up, it's, we're gonna need one teaspoon of baking powder
02:15
and baking soda and one half teaspoon of baking powder.
02:22
Can't get those confused, soda, powder.
02:25
I mean, so get one teaspoon of the baking soda,
02:31
just to make sure that we have both soda and powder.
02:35
All right, get our one teaspoon of baking soda
02:44
and then we'll get one teaspoon of baking powder.
02:50
Well, actually a half teaspoon, so we'll need half teaspoon for that.
02:55
There we go, half teaspoon.
02:57
Spoon of ground cloves and a teaspoon of ground nutmeg.
03:06
So, let's get a teaspoon of ground cloves.
03:13
There we go, teaspoon of ground cloves and a teaspoon of ground nutmeg.
03:25
Nutmeg, nutmeg, nutmeg.
03:30
Beautiful, beautiful.
03:33
All right, we'll also need a teaspoon of cinnamon.
03:47
So, let's put a teaspoon of cinnamon, a little bit more,
03:51
like a little extra cinnamon in there, a little salt in here.
03:56
This is about a, yes, salt.
04:05
Half teaspoon, that's about half a teaspoon.
04:11
Okay, now we have to whisk this up a little bit.
04:14
So, let's whisk our mixture up.
04:17
Whisk, whisk, whisk it up enough.
04:20
Whee, whisk, whisk, whisk it up enough.
04:24
Fifteen-ounce can of pumpkin.
04:29
Open it up in our little electric can opener, which you can see over there.
04:36
Whee, look at this.
04:39
Da-da-da-da-da-da-da.
04:42
All right, so let's take our pumpkin and plop it into the bowl.
04:53
Actually, you know what, I could just pop it in this bowl.
04:56
Why don't you have me mix it separately?
04:59
It's all going to go in the same bowl eventually,
05:01
so let's just continue using this bowl.
05:04
Come on.
05:05
Come on, pumpkin.
05:08
Hey.
05:10
All right, I guess I got to use the knife to get out the pumpkin.
05:15
Here we go.
05:17
I like the smell of pumpkin.
05:18
It smells good.
05:20
I like pumpkin pie.
05:22
I've never made pumpkin bread before, but let's see how this actually comes out.
05:26
So let's get this pumpkin out.
05:31
Pumpkin, pumpkin.
05:32
Get out the pumpkin.
05:34
Pumpkin, pumpkin.
05:35
Get out the pumpkin.
05:40
Two eggy eggs.
05:42
Of course, we're going to use our trusty Easy Egg Cracker
05:47
to make sure we crack the eggs properly.
05:50
Get our whisk out the way.
05:55
So use our Easy Egg Cracker.
05:58
That's one eggy-weggy.
06:03
Come on, let go.
06:07
And two eggy-weggies.
06:13
Here we go.
06:14
Now we're going to need two cups of sugar.
06:18
Get out.
06:22
Let's see how much sugar.
06:25
Give me two cups of sugar.
06:28
Two cups of sugar.
06:31
That's one cup of sugar.
06:34
Now two cups of sugar.
06:36
Perfect.
06:37
All right, let's mix this up beautifully.
06:42
Mixing up the mixture.
06:45
The mixture.
06:47
Mixture.
06:50
Da-da-da-da-da-da.
06:53
Making pumpkin bread.
06:55
Making pumpkin bread.
06:57
Trusty thorted bread when you're making pumpkin bread.
07:01
Making pumpkin bread.
07:03
Making pumpkin bread.
07:05
Going to make you easy when you make the pumpkin bread.
07:39
La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la
08:09
I think we got it ready.
08:15
Oh, shit, I forgot to add the butter.
08:17
I forgot to add the butter, uh-oh, uh-oh,
08:19
gotta add some butter, gotta add some butter.
08:22
Ooh, that's not good, that's not good.
08:26
So what we're gonna do is we have to get a
08:30
one and a half sticks of butter.
08:34
Shit, almost forgot to add the butter.
08:36
This butter makes it better,
08:37
and if you don't have the butter, it may not be better.
08:40
So what we're gonna do is we're gonna get the butter,
08:43
we're gonna use our butter slicer to slice up the butter
08:48
and put it into the batter, put the butter into the batter.
08:52
All right, get the butter into the batter like that.
08:56
Here we go.
08:58
Ooh, how did I forget the fucking butter?
09:01
Embarrassing, embarrassing.
09:03
No wonder it was looking kind of weird.
09:05
All right, so let's put this other butter into the batter.
09:13
Look at this, look how easy this makes it cut, ooh-wee.
09:16
All right, now let's mix this up some more
09:19
and get the butter mixed in here.
09:20
All right.
09:40
We're gonna mix with the butter softened.
09:42
And I had it sitting out to soften enough.
09:46
Oh yeah, this is looking better.
10:20
All right, let's get these pans that we mixed up earlier
10:39
and pour the batter into the pans.
10:43
Maybe we only need one, I'll see how it looks.
10:46
Pouring in the batter, da-da-da-da.
10:49
Yeah, I think I'm more than gonna need one.
10:51
We gotta make sure we pour it in here evenly.
10:53
So let's get the rest of this batter in here.
10:57
Da-da-da, batter up.
11:00
Put the batter in the mixer.
11:03
Mix it up, mix it up.
11:04
Don't you know, gonna mix it up to go.
11:10
Mixing up, spread it around.
11:15
Don't be a frown, don't be a clown.
11:20
Get the batter into the pan, get the batter into the pan.
11:37
All right, looks good, looks good.
11:41
All right, this is it.
11:42
We're gonna put this into the oven at 325 for 70 minutes.
11:49
Alexa, set a timer for 70 minutes.
11:52
All right, after 70 minutes of cooking,
11:56
let's see how it looks.
11:57
Ooh, it looks good.
11:58
Time to take this banana bread out the oven.
12:02
So let's get the banana bread out the oven.
12:05
There it is.
12:06
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh.
12:10
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh.
12:11
Don't wanna drop it, don't wanna drop it.
12:14
Now, what you wanna do is,
12:15
if you can tell how a banana bread is done
12:18
or anything like this,
12:20
is you gotta do the toothpick test.
12:23
What's the toothpick test, you ask?
12:24
Well, you take one toothpick,
12:28
and I can tell this is gonna pass already.
12:31
You stick it in, and if it comes out clean, it's done.
12:36
All right, let's see how this pumpkin bread came out.
12:40
We'll put it onto a nice little cutting board.
12:43
There it is.
12:44
Pumpkin bread.
12:48
Let's see how it came out.
12:51
Yes, it is.
12:52
There's the pumpkin bread.
12:54
All right, so let's cut ourself off a nice little piece.
12:59
Ta-da-dee-dee-dee, cutting off a piece of the pumpkin bread.
13:07
I think it looks pretty good.
13:09
But here's the ultimate test.
13:11
Hey, you know, this is not really a meal.
13:13
It's kind of a dessert, so it's time to eat dessert.
13:18
It's time to eat dessert.
13:21
So let's see how this pumpkin bread tastes.
13:27
Not bad, not bad.
13:29
And you could wrap it up in some Saran Wrap,
13:35
and you could enjoy it for four or five days.
13:38
Or you could put it in the fridge and enjoy it up to a week.
13:41
So, hmm, a nice little Halloween treat, pumpkin bread.
