00:00Here's Mike Elko, head coach of Texas A&M.

00:06Now, he had a big mess to clean up there, right, Scotty?

00:08Jimbo Fisher did an awful job the past couple of years.

00:12Elko says, there's a place to come play football.

00:15We're a hard-nosed football team.

00:17We're not giving you any kind of double talk.

00:19Yeah, I think it's the way we talk to the young people.

00:23I think the things that we talk about, the messaging,

00:26how we bring really good people into the building.

00:30We talk about doing things together.

00:32We talk about culture.

00:34And everyone talks about it, but then we go out

00:36and we live it every day.

00:37And I think we back up our actions.

00:39We're very honest.

00:40We're very open.

00:42And this is a real program.

00:44It's not fake.

00:46It's not a politician running this program,

00:48talking fast and BSing everybody.

00:50This is a real program.

00:52And for all the recruits out there, this is a real place.

00:54And if you want to be really good at football,

00:56this is a really good place to be.

00:58Did you think that Jimbo was a politician ever at A&M?

01:03I just thought he made too much money.

01:05I don't know if I agree with the politician side of Elko's

01:10comment there, but the fast talking.

01:12Like, Jimbo would always be like a fast talker, right?

01:16Like, he'd try to work his way around.

01:18Like, people were giving him heat for how bad the team was.

01:21And he was very slick talking.

01:23And I'm sure he was probably that way with the kids,

01:25which is, I think, what Elko was referring to there

01:28in terms of how he talked to recruits in that same way.

01:32But I-

01:33Do you think that he'll coach?

01:35Because he said he wants to come back to college football,

01:38Jimbo Fisher.

01:39He took a year off or whatever.

01:41Where do you think he would end up?

01:43I was thinking, like, along the lines of, like, you know,

01:46what kind of place do you think he ends up?

01:48Because I thought for one minute,

01:49I thought would Florida State ever want him back?

01:51Because Norvell has screwed that up nice

01:54and juicy down in Tallahassee.

01:56But they went from undefeated to one in seven.

01:59I'd say he's not long for this world.

02:02I actually think that Jimbo did such a bad job

02:06at Texas A&M that he's going to have to go

02:08to a second tier team.

02:12Like, I'm not talking-

02:14He's not going to get, like, a power job.

02:17Like, one of the 10 best jobs in the country,

02:19like he was lining up for after winning at Florida State.

02:23I think he'd have to go to that second level of teams

02:28and win with one of them before he goes

02:31and steals money from somewhere else.

02:33And he might be done altogether, to be quite honest with you.

02:36I don't know about Jimbo.

02:38If he wants to coach, he'll get a job,

02:39but I don't think the jobs he wants

02:42are going to be calling his phone.

02:44I think that he's going to have to adjust

02:46what his expectations are

02:48in terms of where he's going to be.
