00:00So you've said that in your audition you felt like you kind of blacked out a bit
00:05because it was so intense. What was that scene and how did you feel when you knew you got the part?
00:09It was actually Bienvenida which is a big number I do in the bedroom and I throw everything around
00:16and I had no idea the concept of what he was going for. He just, the director Jacques literally said
00:23to me act drunk and throw your shoes if you want and do all this stuff and just go crazy and I was
00:32like oh okay and I did it once and he was like go crazier and I was like okay and I and I went
00:39I went totally for it. I was standing on furniture and I black out but I was just singing my heart
00:46out and dancing like a mad woman I guess a drunk mad woman and it was it was very it was a very
00:54crazy experience but I was honored when he decided to ultimately go with me. How has I mean
01:01executing this role as you have changed the kinds of roles you're looking to do in the future? Are
01:05you interested in more musicals? I think I'm open to anything. I truly feel like this is just
01:13in a way the beginning and I hope that this
01:17I just I hope I continue to be inspired by great filmmakers, great partners, actors, a great
01:25everyone. Everyone is just incredible. I can't wait to do more. For some of your co-stars this
01:31is their first time singing and performing like this. Did any of them ask you for tips? No they
01:36didn't need it. First off did you see Zoe? That girl does not need any tips. If anything I need
01:41the tips but she I mean no everybody I thought was vulnerable and it was real and we just did
01:48the best that we could even if it didn't sound perfect. Coming off of your Emmy nomination how
01:54are you feeling about the words buzz around this film already? You know I don't like to think
01:59anything or be presumptuous so I'm just gonna say I'm I'm so happy people are receiving it the way
02:06they are.
02:11you
