00:00This is such a beautiful film and I feel like it asked so much of you as an actress, a dancer, a singer.
00:05What was most challenging for you?
00:07Not getting in my own way.
00:10And sort of just being in Rita's skin and understanding her journey.
00:15You know, it takes discipline to not sort of like judge a character as you're approaching it and you're putting it together.
00:22You kind of go, well, I wouldn't do what she did.
00:24And it's like, well, there's no, it's not a she, it's an I, it's a me.
00:28And I, where am I?
00:30I'm desperate right now.
00:32I need a way out.
00:33I'm overworked.
00:34I'm burnt out.
00:35I'm, you know, I'm talking as Rita.
00:38And I needed to be sort of like in that headspace.
00:40And once you're in there, then all of a sudden this whole story takes a brand new life.
00:46You know, Emilia Perez is Emilia.
00:48Jesse is Jesse.
00:49You know, Epifania is Epifania.
00:52And so it became a wonderful, wonderful experience.
00:56How did you feel like a role like this would come along for you as an actress?
00:58I wanted it.
00:59I wished it.
01:01I always thought like I'm going to have to make it for myself.
01:04And when is that going to, you know, when am I going to be able to do that?
01:07Juggling all the things that I'm juggling.
01:09You know, it just proves that the power of manifestation means that unconsciously you wake up every day with a purpose.
01:17And you make it happen.
01:19Because the universe is listening.
01:21This is something that is all encompassing of all the art forms that I love, you know.
01:26And I'm just happy that I'm finally getting to share more of what I can do and I will be doing by the grace of God.
01:37More musical, Ros?
01:39Okay, if you insist.
01:41Okay, we do.
