Maintaining good mental health in the workplace remains paramount. This from Health Secretary Dr Faith B.Yisrael as she spoke on Thursday at the Lowlands Mall,  in commemoration of World Mental Health Day. More in this Elizabeth Williams report.

00:00And for you to have good mental health at work, it is taking a whole lot.
00:10I am not going to stand up here and pretend that our workplaces are okay.
00:17Because they are not.
00:22Dr. Faith B. Israel said,
00:24every day we as human beings are looking at ways to be better.
00:29How the hell are we going to make it to the end of this day?
00:34And how the hell are we going to get up tomorrow and do this again?
00:41She said as Health Secretary, she does not have all the answers.
00:46If I knew the answer, we would not be as a country talking about bullying and bullying,
00:51possibly leading to suicide and all of that.
00:54If I had the answer, we would not be afraid, as I am at some points,
01:01to go to a grocery in my community,
01:04because one of your colleagues happened to be close by and got shot.
01:11B. Israel then publicly thanked Mrs. Shelley-Ann John and Dr. Alina Williams
01:18for their input in making the mental health village a success.
