The Civilian Conservation Corps North Central region, held a talent show over the weekend for its current cohort. TV6 visited the event to find out more about the initiative.

00:08initiative. A very lovely proceedings by our regional manager Mrs. Anne-Marie
00:15Daniel to bring on you know promotion towards us and a day just for us
00:21trainees to you know explore and be brave and powerful and it's God-given
00:27talents that we have. Under the theme Blazing Fire Exclusion of Talent
00:32regional manager of the North Central Region Anne-Marie Daniel said the idea is
00:37to instill confidence among youth. She's very proud of the homegrown talent
00:42within the cohort. The takeaway from this for the trainees are that they would be
00:52able to perform, they would be able to be brave, they would be able to be
00:56courageous and they can do anything that they want to do. The entire program is
01:02being done by trainees of the cycle 2401. My name is Delisha Williams and I'm
01:10saying I have nothing. My name is Dante Barry and I will be singing John LaJohn
01:14you and I. My name is Destiny John and I will be singing Man in the Mirror. My
01:19name is Nelicia Robinson and I'll be singing Speak the Name. My name is Alexis
01:24Hartman I'm the keyboardist. I'll be doing the song My Heart Will Go On by
01:27Celine Dion. So you see here today we have lots of talent to be displayed. The
01:35event was also supported by the Steel Orchestra of the Cadet Force. Here is a
01:39taste of their performance.
