00:00Linda, how are you? I'm fine. I'm glad to be here today because at last we've got a defibrillator,
00:07something Ovra has been asking for for a while. And thanks to Oxley Princers and Stationers,
00:14we've been able to put it here. Yeah. And we've had some funding from our, world funding from
00:20our local councillors. Yeah. And some money from the lottery. So Ovra, Oxley Village Residents
00:27Association. Yeah. Yes. It's our 20th anniversary this year. Oh wow. So we wanted something to
00:33really have a positive effect on our local community. Yeah. And we're doing lots of things
00:41just to make things better. We started litter picking. We have a lot of campaigning to make
00:47sure that the area is kept in as good condition as we can. Yeah. And we organise lots of trips
00:54and activities and exercise classes for the local community. Yeah. And it was a very conscious
01:02decision to put this somewhere where it's accessible 24-7, wasn't it? And buying a
01:06long-established business so it's going nowhere sort of thing. Absolutely. And we thought both
01:11Three Tons Lane and the Stafford Road, they're both traffic hotspots for accidents. Yeah. And
01:18we also have a crossover of lots of schools that come down here and people coming to work. So we
01:24thought it was an ideal area. And the plan is hopefully to follow it up with a bleed kit as
01:30well soon in this spot, is that right? That's correct. So you're from the Residents Association,
01:35what do you think then guys? Fantastic day, isn't it, to actually get it here today, yeah? Yes.
01:40A lot of work though, isn't it, I suspect, because these things aren't cheap, are they?
01:44Cool. And we'll get the councillors involved. Come on councillors, come in. So you're our local
01:50councillors, just introduce yourselves lads. Hi, I'm Andrew McNeill. I'm Paul Appleby and Simon
01:56Bennet. And what does it mean to have this in the area then? I mean it literally, you know,
02:00saves lives, isn't it? That's what it's all about. Absolutely. It's amazing what the Oxley
02:05Village Residents Association do for our community and this is yet another thing that's going to be
02:11of immense benefit to everyone. It really is a sign of community coming together, isn't it,
02:16really? You know, residents kind of not just whinging but actually doing something and
02:21action. That's what's needed by people, isn't it? This is our communities after all, isn't it? Do
02:27you know what I mean? Cheers guys, thank you. This is the actual bit of kit and if anyone needs to
02:32use it, it basically tells you what to do as you go, doesn't it? Yeah, when you unfasten it,
02:37it has full instructions on the inside. On the back, this is if you need to shave anybody's
02:43chest. But all the pads are in here and you just follow the instructions. But the vital thing is,
02:51not only do members of public have access to it, because you have to phone the number,
02:56but the ambulances, if they haven't got a defib on, they can get the passcode for it
03:03and they can use the defib. Fantastic, so if you just give us a demonstration how to shave
03:10a chest on Michael here then, Linda, we'll go for it. Michael's well up for that, look.
03:16Right, well thank you guys and well done as a community for all your hard work
03:20in fundraising and well done Oxley Print.
