01:20Their rendition of Soca legend Marshall Montano's Soca song The Spirit may well represent the
01:26theme of Spirit Mass.
01:28The launch of Spirit Island also featured the first time that Best Line will have a
01:34section in Spirit Mass.
01:37Those behind Spirit Mass made that transition on a much larger scale from hosting large
01:43scale fests such as Soca Till Sunrise to having a mass band on the road for this year's Carnival.
01:50One of the directors of Spirit Mass, Damian Baboulal, acknowledged the high level of interest
01:55in the band for next year's Carnival following the good reviews Spirit Mass received from
02:00many of its masqueraders for Carnival 2024.
02:25The Spirit Mass band launch for Spirit Island took place at the Yupik Farm in Chagaramas.
02:39On his Instagram page, the band leader for Spirit Mass, Adrian Schoon, issued a statement
02:44in which he said he would like to personally apologize for the traffic to get into the
02:48venue.
02:49Mr. Schoon said that hours before the show, a riverbank burst and all their adjacent car
02:54parks were flooded out and therefore they could no longer use them.
02:59Spirit Mass' band leader said his team has revisited their strategy and he guaranteed
03:03this will never happen again.
03:06Adrian Schoon also congratulated his entire team and the designers for having pulled off
03:11the band launch as Spirit Mass shall be taking Spirit Island on the road for Carnival 2025.
