00:14Over the last week, infectious joy in the streets of Paris and a phenomenal organisation
00:22that has allowed the Games to run very smoothly have for the first time left the French people

00:31This change in tune follows a rocky few months leading up to the Olympics that were plagued
00:36with a political crisis and general negativity around hosting the Games.
00:40But these have been put on the back burner as the focus is now on France's series of
00:45Olympic successes and new records set.
00:48Reaching a milestone of 36 medals so far, it has surpassed its Tokyo Games medal count

01:58But a study conducted by the London School of Economics on the 2012 Games says the positive
02:04effect of the Olympics on people only lasts one year and will eventually wear off, suggesting
02:09supporters should make the most of it whilst they can.
