00:37Sales 125, Wheelers 150, and Skeens at 9 are the top three for the National League right

00:44now on the odds board.

00:45Well, we'll see how Wheeler's back holds up in August and September into the playoffs.

00:53If he does nothing in August and September, he won't win the Cy Young.

00:57I'll say that Skeens will pass him in short order.

01:02The weight of a guy that's 12 and 3 with a low 2ERA or do you like a guy that's undefeated

01:30They're going to be out there realizing, seeing this is a guy that is taking over Major League

01:43They've already seen this guy throw in televisions and everything else, have all of his injuries.

01:56I still feel, Mike, that Paul Skeens can not only, well, he'll win the rookie of the year.

02:04He can win, and he's already got the all-star start, he can win the Cy Young if he keeps

02:09I don't see why he can't keep doing it.

02:13Because he is a dominant stud pitcher, and they only come around once every, I'd say

02:20a dozen years, a real dominant pitcher.

02:24I will tell you this, there is only one thing that can stop him, in my opinion, from winning

02:29the Cy Young.

02:36They are the only ones who will keep him from winning the Cy Young this year.

02:40I'll tell you right now, if he makes every start between now and the end of the season,

02:45he will win the Cy Young in the National League.

02:47If he is allowed to continue to pitch the rest of the year, and he makes all his starts

02:52all the way through September, he will win the award.

02:58My fear is we get to Labor Day, the Pirates fall to seven or eight back of the wild card,

03:08and the organization goes, it's been a great first year.

03:43and you're going for it, then you got to pitch this guy every five days.

03:59And I think that they'll rue the day they did it if they're still in it.

06:57It is time to focus on the pirate game no matter what.

07:02And when they play their other games, I care, but I don't care if I watch, you know what

07:12When that guy's pitching, I watch the entire game and watch him work his craft.

07:45For all-star notes, Simeon will start for Jose Altuve at second base at the all-star

07:53Will Castro from the Twins will take Altuve's place on the roster.

07:57Santander will replace Kyle Tucker, who's been on the I.L. for weeks on the I.L. roster.

08:33Did you know that this weekend is also the Major League Baseball draft, where, of course,

08:38last year, the guy we've been talking about, Paul Skeens, went number one?

08:42Well, this year, Scotty, the Guardians were the winners of the draft lottery back in December.

08:49So the MLB does the draft lottery now, as you know.

08:52Guardians moved up nine spots to get the top pick, where Travis Bozana is the favorite,

08:59minus 140 to go first.

09:01He is a second baseman.

09:03J.J. Weatherholt, plus 165, and on and on and on.

09:06I'll tell you this, Scotty.

09:09Last year, we knew, weeks before the draft, that Skeens was going to be the top pick, right?

09:14I mean, Skeens, you knew.

09:16I just feel like this year, none of these guys have as much gas as some guys we've heard

09:21about in the past for the top pick.

09:23How about running out of gas on the side of the road?

09:26I've never heard of any of them, and that makes me a loser, and I'm OK with that.

09:31You knew the buildup for Skeens, what was going to happen.

09:34There is no such thing going on this year with the draft this weekend.

09:39In fact, literally, that's the first I've heard of it, that you told me the draft was

09:43this weekend.

09:44I mean, honestly, because all I care about is England and Spain, Argentina and Colombia.

09:53The only reason the NHL draft at the end of June was exciting at all was that it was at

09:58the Sphere.

09:59Other than that, no one would have cared about that either.

10:08They have now tied the draft into All-Star weekend, which is why that is going on this

10:50The second day was at 4 o'clock and that's all you need to know that they don't care.

10:56They tried to be the NFL and they swung and missed.

11:00Starting at 4 o'clock on the second day is like a nightmare.

11:03What a stupid move that was.

11:06They did that because of the presidential debate.

11:08Silver says next year it will be in prime time.

11:11The second round will be at 8 o'clock at night.
