00:10calculator by Banesi, the company that makes a lot of educational products.
00:15Let's open this up and have a look.
00:46Ok, so here it is, it's in a plastic bag, so let's take it out.
01:03So here it is, this is our calculator.
01:06It's got this basic operation, so you can see in the corner, plus, minus, times and
01:16divide.
01:17Banesi, made in 2008.
01:19Got a phone number and a sort of manga style graphic.
01:24Got some information on the bottom.
01:27And then some more manga style graphics on the top of the box.
01:34So let's open it up.
01:45So here it is.
01:48Looks like a cartoon, I don't know what to say, but some sort of device.
01:56It's got a speaker on the bottom, a battery compartment.
02:01Got a lever for something.
02:05Got another, nope, that's not a button.
02:09Ooh, there it actually is.
02:11That pops out.
02:13Ok, it looks like this is a locking mechanism.
02:17So here it is, all opened up, so you've got some directional buttons, so up, down, left,
02:23right.
02:24An OK button.
02:25We have on, off, sound, and I'm not sure what these two buttons are.
02:32And we have a number pad.
02:35Looks like it was originally a spot for a pen, or is a spot for a pen.
02:41I think it's probably for a stylus, that would come with it so you can hit the buttons, but
02:45I'm not exactly sure.
02:48So, assume one of these turns it on.
02:56Now, let's check the battery.
03:19Looks like we've got a Mitsubishi battery.
03:25Doesn't look like it, slightly.
03:27So that's just a CR2032.
03:29So you can probably see these are a bunch.
03:33I'm not sure if the battery's dead.
03:37Or there could be some other way to turn it on.
03:43But CR2032s shouldn't last a long time.
03:56I don't know why I didn't think the obvious way to turn it on was the on, off button.
04:03But nothing seems to happen when I hit it.
04:06Try and press the reset button.
04:08Still nothing.
04:10So now I have to try getting another battery.
