Heatwave: Temperatures of up to 30 °C as yellow heat-health warnings issued

So far, us Brits haven't had the luck that other European countries have experienced. While they basked in record breaking heatwaves, the start of the month for the UK was 'disappointingly cool'.

00:00Forecasters have given us the good news, finally. From down in the nation's capital in the

00:06south east, all the way up to the north east, temperatures of up to 30 degrees are predicted

00:11over the coming days. So far us Brits haven't had the look that other European countries

00:15have experienced. While they basked in record breaking heat waves, the start of the month

00:19for the UK was disappointingly cool. But now, already sun seekers have flocked to the nation's

00:24parks and beaches to soak up a few rays while they can. But of course, while most will seek

00:28to enjoy the sun while it sticks around, we're also being advised to do so responsibly.

00:33Wear your sun cream, stay hydrated and keep out of direct sun during those peak midday

00:37hours. We're also asked to check in on vulnerable loved ones and neighbours too, as yellow heat

00:42health alerts have been issued in almost all parts of the country by the Met Office. And

00:47for hay fever sufferers, the good weather means a pollen bomb too. Very high pollen

00:51counts are to be expected, with those with respiratory conditions told to make preparations

00:56like keeping windows and doors closed and keeping inhalers to hand. But when the temperature
