Health alerts are in place as a developing heatwave pushes temperatures higher across parts of the UK. Officials are urging people to take precautions as very hot weather spreads across parts of Europe.

00:29the UK could reach heat wave thresholds by early next week. Health experts are advising people
00:35to stay hydrated, avoid prolonged sun exposure at the hottest part of the day and to check
00:40on vulnerable neighbours.
