00:00You can see here behind me the results of this absolutely devastating inferno.
00:08This once was a caravan, but you can see it's been completely destroyed, along with the
00:13annex that was attached to it.
00:15And also, just next door, there's also an adjoining unit.
00:19Now there was actually a man who was sleeping in there at the time.
00:23He luckily was able to escape those flames to safety.
00:27However, this wasn't the case for the man, aged in his 70s, called Ross, who lived here.
00:32We've been told that he lived here for at least 12 or so years.
00:36He was somebody who was always pleasant, but kept to himself, and lived here with his five
00:41cats.
00:42He also did actually do a lot of computer work, and also helped to fix people's electronics.
00:47And some of the distraught residents are wondering whether or not there could have been some
00:51sort of fault with some of the electronics that actually sparked this blaze.
00:55But just a short time ago, we spoke with the manager and the co-owner here, Anne-Marie Tedesco,
01:01and she says it is really a devastating situation for the entire community here at Honey Hush
01:07Caravan Park.
01:09Everyone was out trying to do things to firstly get him out, and then they realised it was
01:14just too dangerous.
01:15But that way, they all stuck together, hugging each other, looking out for each other.
01:19It was really wonderful to see.
01:21Yeah, and wherever he is now, I hope he's in a better place.
01:25Residents say that they did what they could.
01:27They grabbed garden hoses, but it clearly wasn't enough to be able to put out these flames.
01:34And some of them have said that this was a little bit like an inferno.
01:39Now, the fire services crews, they say that they got here at about 6.30 yesterday evening.
01:45By the time they arrived, it was already fully engulfed in flames.
01:49They had some 28 firefighters and five pumpers here.
01:54And after putting out the fire, they did locate the body of this man inside.
02:01So police are now investigating his death.
