00:00A fight in a food court sends a whole shopping centre into lockdown.
00:06A Sunday afternoon at Adelaide's largest Westfield, some people were shopping, others at the movies.
00:13Someone like went out of the movies and all of a sudden everyone just came running in
00:16and just sprinting in and everyone's yelling run, run.
00:19We hid behind the seats at first but then we just got up and started sprinting and running
00:22for the emergency exit.
00:24Police say a group of three boys armed with expandable batons approached another group
00:29of boys in the food court.
00:31I have looked at the CCTV, it involves three youth and I will call them boys under 18 years
00:40of a Caucasian appearance.
00:42They approach another group of boys and an altercation occurs.
00:47Police say the boys chased the group through the shopping centre.
00:51The altercation triggered the shopping centre's emergency procedures and while some shoppers
00:56evacuated, others sheltered in place.
00:59My wife and our daughter are still inside one of the stores in lockdown so that's why
01:05we've hung around, obviously waiting for them to make sure that they're okay.
01:08So we've spoken to them and they're getting looked after in one of the stores.
01:11Ambulance officers treated two people who were injured while they were evacuating.
01:16No one was injured as a result of the altercation between the boys.
01:19I am aware that in the evacuation process we had a female who I believe is 77 years
01:25of age, might have fallen and suffered a fracture.
01:28As staff and shoppers were progressively let out of the Westfield Marion Centre, there
01:33was a feeling of relief and just wanting to get home.
01:37This one had come too close for comfort so soon after what had happened in Sydney.
01:43Obviously a really sad, serious situation and obviously with everything that happened
01:48in Sydney, everything's hyper-vigilant and on alert so it's been pretty full on watching
01:53the police arrive and everyone doing what they're doing.
01:56Police say they know the identity of two of the victims and it doesn't appear to be a
02:00random attack.
02:02They've so far been unable to find them or their attackers.
