South Australia is bracing for yet another hot week, with weather warnings in place for much of the state over the coming days.

00:00Today is just the start of what is going to be a very hot week in South Australia.
00:06Adelaide today going for a top of 35 degrees but that is the coolest it's
00:12going to be over the next four or five days. There is a total fire band that's
00:16been put in place across the Eyre Peninsula, the York Peninsula and also
00:20the Mount Lofty Ranges. That has been put in place ahead of tomorrow's even
00:25hotter conditions. 42 degrees is expected in Adelaide with winds of up to 40
00:32kilometres an hour in the afternoon. The heat will stick around it's expected to
00:37top 43 degrees on Monday. It'll be even hotter elsewhere across the state there
00:42is an extreme heatwave warning for the north western pastoral districts and a
00:48severe heatwave warning for most of the north and the west of the state including
00:54the Eyre Peninsula. Port Augusta they'll be looking for a top of 47 degrees on
01:00Monday. Renmark in the state's Riverland they're going to be looking at a week of
01:06temperatures in the 40s including at 48 on Tuesday. The CFS urging people to have
01:14their bushfire plans ready and enact on them if they need. They're also
01:18encouraging people to stay indoors if they can to turn their air conditioners and
01:24their fans on early in the day to cool down their house for the remainder of the
01:30hot weather. It is going to be a very hot and very long week ahead for South
01:36Australians.
