Bristol World Discuss: What is on in the city this week? As ever there is loads on in the city of bristol this week, from Hamilton’s final week at the hippodrome to Kings of Leon visiting the city.

00:00So as there is loads on in the city of Bristol this week, so Charlie can you tell me what is on in the city this week?

00:08So first up is that EasyJet has announced it is launching three new flights from Bristol Airport this winter.

00:17So it will be having new flights twice weekly to Turkey, Norway and also Morocco.

00:24So Bristolians will be able to wander through Istanbul's buzzling bazaars for example,

00:31or they will be able to bask in the sun-soaked beaches of Agadir,

00:37and they'll also have the opportunity to watch the Northern Lights in Toronto.

00:41So yes, some new flights starting as people start to look at going away later in the year.

00:48Should we move on to our next top, what is on in the city this week? Tell me about that.

00:55So next is that the 10th edition of the popular festival Bristol Sounds will be arriving in the city later in June,

01:07taking place at Lloyds Amphitheatre on Bristol Harbourside.

01:12So yes, it's the 10th year of the event and it will celebrate legends of rock, reggae, punk

01:19and be the first ever all-day open-air rock event in the city as well.

01:27So lots of music going on across these seven days.

01:39So finally is that Bristol Museum and Art Gallery will be kicking off the summer season

01:47with the return of the legendary Museum at Night event.

01:53So this event that will be held later in June will feature a solstice-themed party.
