General election: London polling stations and voter ID

00:00July 4th, Independence Day in America, and a significant date this year in the UK too.

00:08Election day, and according to recent polls, it looks like there could be a change in government

00:13for the first time in 14 years. If you've registered to vote, you should have received

00:17a polling card, letting you know your nearest polling station, although not everyone will

00:23have received one yet. To confirm, you can check your nearest polling station on the

00:27government website. People heading to vote on July 4th should remember to bring valid

00:33photo ID to polling stations. These forms of ID include a driver's license, a passport,

00:40an older person's bus pass funded by the UK government, a disabled person's bus pass

00:45funded by the UK government, and a 60 plus London Oyster photo card funded by Transport

00:51for London. There are plenty more valid IDs, and for a full list, head to the vote page
