Voter ID needed for London mayoral election

We take a look at what identification people can use when voting for the new London mayor on May 2.

00:00 Those hoping to vote in the London mayoral election on May 2nd will need to bring photo ID.

00:06 Here is a guide to the identification you can use at a polling station.

00:10 A passport issued by the UK, any of the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man or a British Overseas Territory,

00:17 an EEA state or a Commonwealth country, including an Irish passport card is accepted.

00:23 A driver's licence also issued by the UK or any of the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man or an EEA state is accepted,

00:30 and that also includes a provisional driving licence.

00:33 A blue badge is also accepted at polling stations as well as other local travel cards,

00:38 like Alders Pension bus pass funded by the UK government,

00:41 Disabled Persons bus pass funded by the UK government,

00:44 an Oyster 60+ card funded by the UK government and a Freedom Pass.

00:49 Other local travel cards and government issued documents are accepted too.
