00:05Hello and welcome to that video, today I'm unboxing this.
00:07This is a special golf game for PSP that uses GPS and also that you actually play the game.
00:13So let's take it apart.
00:15I've already taken the liberty of cutting the bottom off.
00:18Just so we don't have to struggle trying to get that cut open on camera.
00:25I've got a PSP on the side as well.
00:28Okay so here it is, it's volume 1 of this golf game.
00:32I'll put up the translation of this on the screen.
00:36As you can see it's powered by Virtual Golf Guide.
00:41And it's got a GPS included in the box.
00:44Now it's a quite thick box so of course it's got the game in there as well as the GPS.
00:49On the back you can see it's got some information that uses the GPS to drag the distance.
00:56And like many of these things for Japan only.
01:00So it's volume 1, I'm not sure if there were any other volumes but maybe we can find that out.
01:05If you know consider leaving it in the comments below.
01:09Let's try to get this open.
01:10It's not in the best condition on the top of the box.
01:14It's got a bit of a tear there and missing stuff as well as on the top.
01:20Okay let's shake it out.
01:23So here's the GPS.
01:25The case is still in there.
01:28So it's in the GPS receiver.
01:30Got it in what I believe is French as well.
01:33His P290X.
01:35And made in China.
01:37So here's the GPS itself, there's no plastic on the top.
01:41So I can just pull it out.
01:45There we go, so it just bends there.
01:48That makes it easier to get out.
01:50There's lots of paperwork underneath it as well.
01:53Let's open this up.
02:05So in here, it actually looks like this plastic was supposed to be covering that.
02:10It must have fallen down.
02:11So in here we've actually also got a case for the GPS.
02:16Just a hard plastic case.
02:18Similar to what you normally get with the GPS and other devices.
02:22It's also similar to what you get with the camera.
02:24Let's put that back in.
02:31There we go.
02:33As you can see it also has Sony and PSP on the front.
02:36It's the old Playstation logo.
02:38And here's the manual.
02:39So as you can see it's put in a bunch of different languages.
02:42It's quite thick.
02:44We've got some installation instructions there.
02:48It looks like you want to have this part.
02:50So it's perpendicular to the satellite with a signal coming in.
02:54So it's somewhat parallel to the ground.
02:56This has a nice little GPS logo with a little satellite on it.
03:01It's got PSP on the front as well.
03:05The autofocus isn't like it because it's shiny.
03:08There we go, PSP.
03:09And it's got just one little screw to keep it in the top of the device.
03:13On the back it says Sony as well.
03:16And there's the model number.
03:18So PSP 290.
03:20So in here we've also got the game.
03:24So here it is.
03:25It's the same image as on the front of the box.
03:28On the back.
03:30Or the same as the back of the box again.
03:32And an interesting thing to note is that it's got two discs, not the normal ones.
03:36So let's open this up.
03:40So here it's got two discs.
03:42Disc 1, Disc 2.
03:43So there's green on this disc and white on that disc.
03:47And the inside of the cover.
03:48And the inside of the cover is separated into green and white as well.
03:52Just to match that.
03:54It's got a few different pieces of paperwork in here.
03:57We have the manual.
04:04Looks like a warranty card or something.
04:07There's some more information for using the GPS.
04:13These discs are relatively stretched free.
04:16But I also imagine this wouldn't have gotten much use.
04:19So let's pop the game into the PSP and have a look.
04:23So let's start with Disc 1.
04:37So as you can see the UMD has come up.
04:40A nice cover.
04:44PSP update.
04:47Nothing else seems to come up in any of the other sections.
04:51So let's go in.
05:05Took a while to load.
05:07It's Japan Studio.
05:09Digital Golf.
05:12Clamp Hands.
05:13There's a few different titles coming up.
05:15Genki.
05:21So it's got a few different options in here.
05:25Let's start with Green.
05:31Okay.
05:31So it looks like we're going to have to insert the GPS now.
05:35I'm going to assume that's why it's not working.
05:42Okay.
05:42Let's put that in.
06:10So this point is just a little reception desk.
06:12I'm going to...
06:12I'm going to...
06:13Golf Club.
06:14Let's go through it.
06:16Let's go through it.
06:16We're just giving us instructions.
06:21Try that option.
06:31So if you want to name.
06:34Let's just go start.
06:38So we want to select which golf club we want to be in.
06:42Or which safety picture of Japan.
06:50Let's go with this one, looks as good as any, we've got four options used for them, we've
06:57got A, compared to DS games, the 6th one that's allowed, because it's all from disc, so we've
07:08got the older man, let's go with which everyone loads next, so let's just go with this character,
07:27let's not change the styles, just don't have to wait for it to load.
07:42I'm not exactly sure if this actually changes, but let's go.
08:17So it looks like these are different clubs I'm going to guess, we've got a phone number
08:22just in the corner as well.
08:50Just got a nice little overview of the club.
08:55So this is par 4 this course, so there's the flag.
09:05So let's hit it.
09:13So it went 335 yards, I'm going to guess that's what Y is for.
09:20Okay let's try again.
09:27So I'm not exactly sure where the GPS comes in, maybe this is like an offline mode, where
09:33you can just go around and play different courses.
09:35Maybe this is a different option that allows you to actually use it at the course.
09:39Maybe it's just disc 2 that you can use for the courses.
09:43So disc 1 is offline mode, this lets you play the courses.
09:46Disc 2 can be used to subtract yourself from the actual course itself.
09:54Let's have a go.
10:11So let's get out of this and let's try to disc 2 and see what it's like.
10:34So let's put that in.
10:42Let's launch this and it's loading now and I have a lot of other subtitles as well.
11:01Here it is.
11:20Here we select another place.
11:29Looks like this one is the same as before we selected the weather.
11:32All sorts of stuff.
11:36So we've got some more information about the actual course.
11:46So it looks like this one is still sort of an offline thing so no connectivity to actual course
11:52to track a location on it.
11:54So I'm not exactly sure how you'd get to that.
11:57Of course I can't read Japanese so I couldn't be able to understand the menus to find out where.
12:01There.
12:04So I have to leave it at this.
12:10This is a different mode to before.
12:14It's very laggy.
12:17I've never seen a game with a PSP lag as much.
12:28So we'll say it is calculating the trajectories and stuff.
12:42So we can select different things with this.
12:46So that's really it for this video.
12:47I can't really show up much else so if you liked the video, don't forget to like the video.
