00:00 The Road Transport Department has revealed that Bijak does not have its approval to offer
00:06 road tax renewal services.
00:09 The department was responding to an advertisement on the insurance platform's website and social
00:13 media platforms about road tax renewal services.
00:17 JPJ said the platform's statement that online road tax renewals at Bijak have been audited,
00:23 verified and approved by JPJ is untrue and misleading.
00:27 JPJ said it received complaints from the public that the validity period of their road tax
00:32 was not updated despite having their road tax processed through Bijak.
00:36 It said it also received complaints about Bijak charging additional fees for road tax
00:41 renewals.
00:42 JPJ encouraged the public to get their road tax renewed at JPJ counters, kiosks and mobile
00:48 counters.
00:49 The public can also use the MyJPJ application, JPJ public portal and JPJ partner platforms
00:55 such as PostMalaysia, MyEG and Fuspecom.
