UNISON launching campaign to fight cuts at Derbyshire County council.

00:00 So I'm Dave Ratchford, Regional Officer for Unison and I and some people are out here today in Chesterfield

00:07 getting signatures for our petition to stop the cuts at Derbyshire County Council.

00:12 One week today, Derbyshire County Council are going to make decisions about closing 10 out of 22 children's centres

00:19 and cutting 60% of early intervention staff, vital staff who are needed to protect children and their families.

00:27 We're hoping the public will support the campaign because this is about public services,

00:31 it's about the future of families and children in Derbyshire.

00:35 So if anybody wants to sign the petition, we will be in Buxton at midday on Thursday,

00:41 we'll be in Derby City Centre at midday on Friday.
