00:43 this would potentially be for the Red Sox,

00:51 But Brian Bayo last year, 157 innings,

00:54 did have 12 wins.

00:55 Honestly, you know, that 12-11 record

00:57 is indicative more of the Boston Red Sox than anything.

00:59 Now the strikeout rate a little bit behind there,

01:01 132 in 157 innings.

01:03 So you're looking something a little bit under

01:05 where 9K per nine is what we wanna be.

01:08 The RA at 424, 134 whip.

01:10 But if you're looking at some of the deeper stats on him,

01:13 especially towards the end of the season,

01:14 you saw Bayo make some improvements.

01:16 I think that's something that's very important.

01:18 Can this guy take a step forward?

01:20 You mentioned Cutter Crawford.

01:21 That's another guy too,

01:21 that I think you should pay very close attention to.

01:23 But if you're looking at a guy

01:26 that innings aren't gonna be an issue, right?

01:27 He already had 157 last year.

01:29 If we're talking about progress, potentially,

01:32 this is another dude that you wanna see him in spring.

01:35 Look strong, look like he is starting

01:37 to get confidence and figure out.

01:39 Because if he does, again, any pitcher going outside

01:42 the top 200 overall picks that you can count on

01:45 for somewhere around a four ERA and 150 strikeouts,

01:49 that's a pitcher you want at least on your bench,

01:52 if not in your five spot.

01:53 And I think that's something that Brian Bayo can give you.

01:56 Brian Wu can give it to you as well.

01:58 And I think those are two pitchers

01:59 that you should have your eye on.

02:00 Because again, you think you have enough pitching?

02:03 Guess what?

02:04 You don't, you never do.

02:05 This is what fantasy baseball is in 2023.

02:08 And understand that.

02:09 And also keep in mind Matt's point too.

02:11 If the Red Sox do go out there

02:12 and add a Jordan Montgomery, which again,

02:14 that's just speculation on our part,

02:15 just saying, "Hey, wouldn't it be interesting if?"

02:18 All of a sudden, I think that does

02:20 slightly move things around.

02:21 I'm not saying Jordan Montgomery

02:22 is a dominant pitcher necessarily,

02:25 but he's another one of these guys

02:26 you can count on for 180 innings.

02:27 And guys you can count on for innings become very important.

02:31 And hopefully Gialito can turn things around.

02:33 I'd like to see him have a better spring,

02:34 but Bayo is another one of these guys to keep an eye on,

02:36 because if he has a good spring,

02:38 that I think gives us some good feelings going into 2024

02:42 for the full season for him in fantasy.
