00:00Aaron Judge is going to be able to hit for average and power
00:02in home runs and do all that damage.
00:03He's actually trading at a 44% chance to be the OPS leader.
00:07Jordan Alvarez, Shohei Otani behind him, and many more.
00:10But it looks like that favorite by far is Aaron Judge
00:13to start the season here, Craig.
00:16Well, he's off to a tremendous start.
00:18I don't think it'll be Ben Rice because he doesn't play enough.
00:21That's a story for another day and another host.
00:24But anyway, yeah, I mean, listen, this is always Judge's award.
00:27But, you know, I just didn't think that we'd see Otani and Judge
00:32fighting things out in April.
00:33I mean, can't we, like, wait a month, give somebody else a chance?
00:35I guess not.
00:36Judge has just been fantastic.
00:38Unfortunately for the Yankees, they did not get off to the start
00:41that they wanted this season.
00:42But, again, you can get in or out of this at any time.
00:45We still have about a week to go.
00:48By the way, Craig, if I gave you the opportunity to say,
00:50let's just talk about the MVP market, you can have Judge and Otani,
00:54but they both have to win the respective MVPs or I give you the field,
00:58which means one person has to get upset in either one of those races
01:02in the AL or the NL.
01:04Would you take both of those guys where they have to win it, both of them,
01:08or basically everybody else for one person to steal one of those MVPs?
01:13Yeah, I would take it and I would take it, you know,
01:15probably in the American League just because I think every season
01:18that Otani plays, he's the MVP in my opinion,
01:21because we'll never see anybody do what he's doing,
01:23and I think he's going to pitch at a very high level this season too.
01:26So between the pitching and hitting Otani all day, you know, Judge,
01:29I don't root for it, Donnie, but Judge misses three weeks
01:33that just changes the dynamic of the award.
01:36So always someone that's going to take the field,
01:39although that didn't work out last week with Rory McIlroy against the field.
01:43It was Rory that ended up winning, so probably I'll be wrong with this one.
01:46But, yeah, I would take the field.
01:48And, yeah, slow start too for a guy like Bobby Witt.
01:50A lot of people thought Witt was going to be the potential MVP this season
01:54maybe to take that over.
01:55But let's also not forget that Witt got off to a really slow start last year too.
02:00He only had one home run, I believe, at the end of April or two.
02:02So hang on to him too.
