Pop Up Books in the Mander Centre, Wolverhampton,  has some unusual books for sale and also some very old ones. Find out about there oldest one.

00:30 Well I bought some of these books, they're from a Glasgow library and they were from a friend of

00:36 mine who was a book dealer and he'd bought the whole lot from the library and they are rare and

00:40 scarce but really difficult to sell because of the subject and the fact that they're written in Latin

00:45 or Greek and it was a shame because he unfortunately died recently but he, so I bought his books but he

00:54 never got a chance to sell an awful lot of them because he had dementia and that was...

00:57 What would be interesting if there's anybody out there who reads Latin and also understands about

01:05 medical issues because imagine what 1752's medical thoughts would be about what illnesses

01:13 was going around in Wolverhampton. So we're at the Pop-Up Bookshop and how long are you here for?

01:19 We're here until the 21st of April, we're here for a nice long time this time, we were here for

01:25 three months in total, well we have been here for four weeks and we've got most subjects I think

01:31 that people would like to read or look at. What are Wolverhampton bookworms favourite

01:36 subjects would you say? Well massive railway fans so there's a huge amount of railway

01:41 books we stock and we have regulars come in most days just to browse through them and they do

01:48 stop and add to their collection obviously and then we have there's a huge military section

01:53 which is very popular in history but the classics like Jane Austen, Alice in Wonderland and the

01:59 Water Babies and Shakespeare. And what's your favourite book Judy? Well my favourite book is

02:04 actually and it's a bit weird but it's Black Beauty but it's terribly sad and I do actually
