01:49morning here and i can just picture you know people commuting to work
01:55i mean the last thing that i think anyone would imagine is that that car that just drove by is
02:01it's got a woman blindfolded and stuffed in the back

02:20even though i'm still wearing the goggles
02:36i can tell we're in broad daylight and i'm wondering like where the hell could we pee
02:42now where no one no one could see this that can smell pine trees
02:53it's quiet i'm picturing a remote lot of land in the woods
03:00but then he just grabs my feet and just drags me from light to dark
03:06it feels like i'm lying on a cold concrete floor it tells me i have to finish getting ready

03:23ready for what
03:28and so i could hear him scrubbing
03:29i can hear what sounds like duct tape and every horror film i've seen just kind of flashes in my mind
03:42and so i'm terrified that that's how it's going to end for me and that's what
03:50that's what my last moments on this earth are going to be like
03:53he guides me into this house i think i feel carpet initially and then tile under my feet
04:10i'm just shaking with fear and holding my breath
04:15he moves me to a bed and i feel him sit down next to me and he says
04:29this wasn't meant for you
04:33this was meant for aaron's ex andrea
04:38and i think what the fuck
04:41this is about her
04:46and he goes on to tell me that he's part of this black market company that kidnapped people for money
04:56he tells me that aaron's been given instructions of what to do the plan is to release you in 48 hours
05:05as much as i want to believe he really will release me the reality is that i'm isolated i'm alone
05:12i'm drugged next time he comes in that could be it
05:19and that's the final thought i have before i pass out
05:22i know i've been asleep for a few hours because
05:33when i wake up even though i'm still wearing the goggles i can tell that the the light has shifted
05:38it sounds like he's in the next room the wall behind
05:45and i notice there's like french pop music that's playing
05:50the weirdest part about the music he was playing was that i liked it
06:00there's something that normalizes
06:02and he takes me on these routine bathroom breaks
06:09where he guides my hand and he tells me things like how he's struggled with insomnia and ptsd that
06:19he was in the military he's just seemed human and thoughtful and polite
06:26and so as this first day goes on i'm thinking maybe i just need to stay calm and that i'll be
06:32released and that this this will all be over
06:49but then
06:49there's this heaviness
07:00and hesitation and the steps
07:03and he says
07:06we have a problem
07:07we don't have any collateral to ensure that you won't speak to the police so one of us is going
07:20to have to have sex with you
07:24and it's going to be recorded
07:28and that way if we think that you're going to speak to police
07:31that we can release it on the internet
07:37and i just feel like i've been punched in the face
07:44almost just pulled out of myself
07:48and then he says
07:50it's actually me who's going to have to have sex with you
07:56i want you to know i'm going to be gentle
08:02and then he just climbs on top of me
08:07he starts kissing me and
08:14you know every instinct i have in that moment is to kick and scream and
08:20do anything to push him off me and protect myself or say what i want to say
08:25but i know it's just going to make things worse
08:31it can make things more violent and i just want it to end and be done and
08:41just move on to the next just move on to the next thing you know
08:46when you hear people describe
08:53uh an out-of-body experience i think it's hard to know
08:58until you really experience it uh
09:02you know like completely detached from myself just
09:06just watching this all happen and i just
09:12just my heart breaks for that woman

09:18you know i want to help her but i can't
09:36when he's finished
09:37and he takes me into the bathroom and this time when he leaves he tells me that from now on
09:45i'm allowed to take the goggles off when he's not in the room with me and
09:51it just feels like he's conditioning me these are rewards because i was a good girl
10:03and i
10:05pull those suctioned goggles off of my eyes for the first time in over half a day
10:13then i look in the mirror and i'm just so detached like i don't
10:17i don't know who that is in front of you know i just see
10:29when i take a shower and i just kind of curl up
10:33in a ball with the water beating over me
10:37the water is just going down and just feels like every little bit of hope
10:42is going down with it
10:47the next morning i hear him in the next room cleaning
11:13during the home invasion he said it was just a robbery
11:16and it ended up being a kidnapping when i got to the house he says he's not going to dehumanize me
11:22but then he still raped me so how can i possibly trust that he's not going to kill me
11:29you know you hear about things like this on the news
11:32and it never turns out well
11:36but now that i don't have the goggles on i try to figure out a way to escape
11:41but the windows have been barricaded and the door is locked up
11:46i scan the room and just see what what options i have as far as a weapon and
11:52and there's nothing i can use
12:05then he comes in and tells me
12:07and then he comes in and tells me we've lost contact with aaron
12:16my fear just spikes and i am just
12:22terrified that something bad happened to him
12:25he says my associates are on their way
12:30i have to give you another dose of the sedative it's protocol
12:34when they do come it's best if you don't engage with them and just pretend to be asleep
12:41they're not as nice as me
12:42i hear a car approaching the house
12:51i don't know how big the organization is i don't know who's involved or why
12:56i hear them talking
13:06and it does feel strained heated almost
13:11i'm terrified i'm shivering
13:41and then he comes in and he says

14:53he tells me that his associates have another demand
14:58he says the footage from yesterday isn't good enough
15:05we'll have to record us having sex again
15:08this time it needs to look consensual it needs to look like we're in a relationship that we've been having an affair
15:26i'm trying to figure out exactly what that means but it does seem like
15:31like this time i'm no longer gonna be able just to be detached and separate from it that this time
15:41i'm gonna have to be present and perform and i just don't know how

16:00and i pull up the blindfold and i see two full glasses of wine and a couple small bottles of booze

16:21and he knocks and i put the blindfold back on and he kind of makes a joke like

16:31yeah i started without you i'm gonna do whatever i can
16:35to numb myself and just get this over with
16:42he tells me he's figured out that if he just tapes my eyes shut i'll just look like my eyes are closed
