00:00 First, we're going to be recapping the Miami Dolphins and the Kansas City Chiefs is the
00:10 11 and six Kansas City Chiefs beat the 11 and six Miami Dolphins 26 to seven.
00:18 They win they cover as the short home favorite game stays under as well.
00:24 That's what I bet the under 43 and a half due to the cold conditions.
00:28 Part of my handicap here, Mark was to being the Hawaiian guy playing his college football
00:35 in the south playing his pro football in South Florida and going up there.
00:40 Oh, man, it was a cold, cold, cold day, cold night in Kansas City, and they go down pretty
00:47 big they couldn't do much offensively to finish the game 20 of 39.
00:53 Percentage wise, I would say that's probably as lowest of the season, at least off the
00:56 top of my head 199 yards so sub 200 yard performance just a 5.1 yard average one touchdown one
01:04 interception was sacked twice up against Patrick Mahomes 23 of 41 262 yards.
01:12 He had one touchdown, no interceptions.
01:16 It was 16 to seven going into halftime mark still somewhat in doubt Miami really couldn't
01:20 do much offensively and then Kansas City got 10 in the second half to kind of coast to
01:27 the 26 to seven when Tyreek Hill getting back into arrowhead five receptions 62 yards 12.4
01:35 average with that one touchdown.
01:38 Overall mark thoughts the Dolphins heading up to cold weather not looking good offensively
01:44 to it did not play well in his playoff debut there for this season.
01:51 Just keep in mind I say debut because he was injured last year against Buffalo but did
01:55 not look good this year.
01:57 Overall thoughts with the Finns going down to the Chiefs man.
02:00 Did you see Patrick Mahomes helmet crack?
02:04 Did you see that?
02:05 It was so cold.
02:06 We're gonna tell me his helmet cracked and he had to have a new I've never seen that
02:09 before.
02:10 I've never seen that before.
02:12 I've genuinely never seen that before.
02:15 But other than that, you know, look, I'll say this much.
02:18 The Chiefs offense isn't very good.
02:19 They settled for a lot of field goals in this game.
02:21 Very short ones inside the red zone.
02:24 And that's going to be a problem when you play a legitimate team in the next round.
02:28 They got to figure out how to score touchdowns and I don't know that they necessarily will.
02:31 I mean, I'm not sure Miami really ever stood much of a chance in this game.
02:34 And I don't say that because I think they're a bad football team.
02:36 But the elements going up against Mahomes has never lost a home playoff game.
02:41 You know, and everything else.
02:42 It just be it.
02:43 I thought the Dolphins might have been able to score a little more.
02:46 But the Chiefs defense is really good.
02:48 And Chiefs unders have been cashing because their offense isn't scoring and their defense
02:51 is really good.
02:52 And that's a that's a recipe for unders if you ask me.
02:56 It absolutely is.
02:57 I think their defensive line is a little bit underrated as well as one thing I would add
03:00 in Travis Kelsey had seven receptions 71 yards.
03:04 Rice led the way receiving for the Chiefs eight receptions 130 yards and the touchdown.
03:10 Pacheco 24 carries 89 yards that kind of controlled the clock.
03:15 They're talking about the Chiefs offense a little little grinded out particularly in
03:18 the second half.
03:21 You know, I would I would guess I haven't seen the numbers but a lot of people complaining
03:26 on social media how the NFL broadcasted this game mark.
03:31 I know I know you had some kind of words off camera about it.
03:35 What's your overall kind of thought process there with with how the NFL went about this
03:39 in the NFL playoffs?
03:41 My words were simple.
03:42 I didn't pay for peacock.
03:43 I didn't watch the game.
03:44 I mean, you know, I don't have much to say about it because I didn't watch the game.
03:49 That said, I don't know NBC pays the NFL like, you know, a couple hundred million dollars
03:54 for the broadcast rights and in return NBC told the NFL.
03:58 Here's your couple hundred million dollars and we're going to put a playoff game on our
04:01 streaming service to up subscriptions help us make some money back from the hundreds
04:05 of millions of dollars.
04:06 We're going to pay you and the NFL said, okay, fine.
04:09 No worries.
04:10 We'll take the check.
04:11 Thanks.
04:12 Appreciate it.
04:13 I mean, this is guys.
04:14 I mean, yeah, you can get upset all you want.
04:17 This is the direction that everything is going.
04:20 So the NFL has no duty to make their product free for everybody to consume.
04:27 And you know, at some point in time, someone's going to walk up to the NFL and instead of
04:32 playing, you know, millions, hundreds of millions of dollars are going to pay hundreds of billions
04:36 of dollars to do what they want with the product.
04:40 And the NFL is going to say, okay, that's fine.
04:42 Just stroke the check.
04:43 We're good.
04:44 Bring us the money and you do whatever you want.
04:45 We're cool because our product is impenetrable and everybody knows that.
04:48 And so the numbers say that the peacock, you know, was the most downloaded app.
04:53 I don't know what the timeframe was, but it was like the most downloaded app yesterday.
04:57 Okay.
04:58 So it worked.
04:59 Everybody paid the five 99 there, canceled that subscription.
05:01 But guess what?
05:02 NBC doesn't care because what's five 99 times.
05:06 Oh, I don't know.
05:07 56 million.
05:08 There's some higher math.
05:10 That's a lot of money.
05:12 So for the, for the 50 million people who might've watched that game, I might be less
05:16 than that.
05:17 Let's say conservatively 20 average, about 15, 16 million people watching NFL game.
05:20 So let's just say for a playoff game, we're at 20, 25 million still.
05:24 So it's a lot, a lot of money.
05:25 It's a lot, a lot of money.
