00:02 - Okay, let's end with this,
00:04 a acquisition potentially here of 2024
00:07 in the sports betting industry.
00:09 Let's break it down for our viewers
00:11 and listeners very quickly.
00:12 We got less than two minutes.
00:13 Who is it and what could be involved here?
00:15 - Well, Craig, this is Bluebet.
00:17 They are a company out of Australia.
00:20 They operate as Clutchbet in the United States.
00:22 They're only in a couple of markets.
00:24 They're in Colorado and Iowa right now.
00:26 And they haven't really done a whole lot just yet.
00:29 Another Australian company, now get this,
00:32 there is a sports book in Australia already named Better.
00:36 This is not the Jake Paul affiliated Better
00:39 that's in the US.
00:41 Different company completely,
00:42 but the Australian Better is looking into buying Bluebet.
00:46 And Bluebet confirmed that those talks are ongoing
00:49 as they are always ongoing to create value
00:53 for shareholders as they say.
00:54 But it's just another one of the situations
00:57 where we're looking at the smaller operators in the US
01:00 starting to get eaten up, starting to disappear.
01:03 And you have to wonder at by the end of 2024,
01:06 how many of these little guys could we lose?
01:08 So it's early in the year,
01:10 but we already have one that could potentially,
01:13 now Better could keep them in the US,
01:15 but remember the Australian Better,
01:18 they don't have anything going on in the US right now.
01:20 So we'll keep an eye on that too, Craig.
