00:06 There is definitely this fear that it is only for people that either love or have done ballet.
00:13 That is most definitely not true.
00:15 I don't have a ballet background.
00:17 Some of us, some of the teachers do, but most of us don't.
00:22 I am here outside the Bar Fitness Studio,
00:25 an infamous renovated Bristol pub that has been turned into a Bar Fitness Centre
00:31 and is a hidden fitness gem of the city of Bristol.
00:34 It is designed to be a highly effective form of exercise using low impact.

00:41 So we're in the Bar Fitness Studio on White Ladies Road.
00:45 We opened two years ago, just after all the lockdowns.
00:51 The main objective really was to bring amazing workouts
00:58 in a lovely environment that you wanted to come to and work out in.
01:02 We specialise in bar.
01:05 We also do some Pilates and some yoga classes.
01:08 So the classes are on the bar menu, hence the classic, the shaken and stirred.
01:14 And bar is very definitely at the core.
01:17 And again, for six.
01:21 The Bar Fitness Studio was launched in 2023 in a renovated Bristol pub
01:26 and is a hidden gem for the Bristol fitness scene.

01:31 We use equipment in bar, obviously the ballet bar,
01:35 but also Pilates balls, light weights, ankle weights are a favourite.
01:41 In some of the fusion style classes and the Pilates classes, we get the ankle weights.
01:46 We have some trainers along the floor.
01:48 If you've seen people using the suspension trainers from the ceiling,
01:51 we have a second studio downstairs, we do those.
01:53 So we really like to challenge the body.
01:55 No two classes are the same.
01:58 So although you follow a format, you're never going to get bored.

02:06 with classes designed to be highly effective using low impact exercises.
