00:00 As we stand here today, there's been a number of new ignitions that have arisen from certainly
00:07 the thunderstorms that were experienced overnight last night, particularly in the south-western
00:12 part of the state, but also as late as this afternoon where there's been some fresh outbreaks
00:17 that have occurred again as a result of storm activity in the area.
00:22 These include the Stanthorpe area in and around Texas, Halliford and certainly Mareeba in
00:31 the far north of the state, whilst that of course is not in the area where the storms
00:35 occurred but that is a new outbreak that's occurred just this afternoon.
00:40 And news just in is that there is a fire around Undala, which is around the Bow Desert area
00:48 and that's just happening as we speak right now.
00:51 As you can appreciate with the change that has come through overnight and into today,
00:56 that's certainly had an impact on the Tara fire and the Milmerran fire.
01:00 The Milmerran fire currently is still contained, however the Tara fire is still being worked
01:06 on containment.
01:07 We haven't been able to contain that fire yet at this point in time.
01:11 The change in wind direction from the south-southeast has put pressure on the north and the north-eastern
01:16 sides of those fires and certainly crews have worked tirelessly today with aircraft in the
01:21 air to try and keep that fire within the containment lines that we've identified.
01:28 Moving into tomorrow, the weather that we're looking for is that there will still be extreme
01:33 fire danger in the western parts of the state.
01:37 Whilst the change has come through and currently I'm of the understanding there's some rain
01:41 in the southeast corner as we speak and the conditions will be somewhat cooler on the
01:46 coast, the threat still remains in the western part of the state.
