00:00 [MUSIC PLAYING]
00:02 So of course, you saw the logos of the defending two-time
00:15 national champion Georgia Bulldogs.
00:17 They are the favorites right now, Zeno,
00:18 to win the SEC at minus 150.
00:21 The last time we talked about UGA was last week
00:24 entering their open weekend because of the injury
00:27 to tight end Brock Bowers.
00:29 A weekend to get ready for the world's largest outdoor
00:32 cocktail party this Saturday in Jacksonville
00:35 that we'll talk about in just a minute.
00:37 Alabama comes all the way back in the second half, Mark Zeno,
00:41 entering this final Saturday in October,
00:44 on the third Saturday in October,
00:46 to beat Tennessee by two touchdowns at home.
00:49 Those are the two top teams right now in the SEC odds.
00:53 The Bulldogs minus 150, Alabama the second best price
00:56 at 2 to 1.
00:58 Zeno, entering this final weekend in October in the SEC,
01:02 how do you evaluate the league as a whole?
01:06 Well, again, the other four major power conferences
01:09 are hoping Georgia runs the table and beats Alabama
01:12 because guess what's going to happen?
01:13 If Alabama enters the SEC championship game
01:15 with their lone loss to Texas and undefeated in SEC play,
01:19 and they go ahead and knock off Georgia, which right now
01:21 at this point looks much closer to a coin flip game
01:24 than many people would have thought about six weeks ago
01:26 in the beginning of September, especially after that Texas
01:29 loss.
01:29 All that said, if Alabama does that, guess what?
01:33 Georgia and Alabama are probably both going to the playoff.
01:35 And there's going to be a team that
01:37 has one loss, a conference champion on the outside looking
01:39 in once again.
01:40 But I would just like to reiterate one more point here
01:42 in the big picture.
01:44 It just always seems to be all the people who rode off
01:46 Alabama right after their loss to Texas
01:47 are the same people who were in favor of college football
01:50 expansion.
01:50 Guess what, folks?
01:51 I remind you that Alabama losing that game, OK,
01:54 put their entire season in jeopardy.
01:56 With college football playoff expansion, guess what?
01:58 Alabama could lose another game in the SEC championship game.
02:00 You know where they're going to be?
02:01 In the college football playoff.
02:02 So we don't have to rehash that whole argument.
02:04 But I just say that the urgency that we
02:07 have throughout the college football season
02:09 may be on its way out the door next year when they expand.
02:13 (upbeat music)
