00:00One of the teams with the expectations of World Series or bust has always been the Houston Astros.
00:05But sooner than later, your luck runs out or your talent runs out or father time just catches up to
00:10your team.
00:10And that's the Astros, 19 and 28 on this Major League Baseball season, four and six in the last 10
00:16games.
00:17They've won the past two, but the Astros just like the running on fumes right now.
00:21And is it time, Craig, where they look and say, hit the reset button.
00:25Some of these aging veterans here flipping for prospects because the Astros right now,
00:29they don't look like a playoff contender to me this year, Craig.
00:33No, and it's funny that Christian Walker is having such a nice year.
00:35That was a big signing for them a year ago.
00:38And then they just, you know, it sounded like they just wanted to get rid of him.
00:41And now he's actually played well.
00:42But too many injuries, Donnie, have struck them with the pitching, with Carlos Correa, up and down the roster.
00:49I believe they have the most time on the IL of any team in baseball.
00:53And let's just be honest, even with healthy players, they just were not that good of a team.
00:58Take nothing away from all the success they've had over the last decade.
01:01They should get a ton of credit.
01:02But you're right, Donnie.
01:03Probably, I think, time to trade some pieces.
01:06And the biggest piece of all that they would have potentially to trade at the deadline would be a guy
01:11who hasn't played a game this season.
01:13What in the world?
01:13Josh Hader has still not pitched.
01:15It's, you know, in May.
01:16I know he's getting ready to come back here.
01:18But to me, Donnie, that's a very important note.
01:21They need to get him pitching so they can trade him.
01:23Because you know, if he's pitching well, Donnie, some team that's chasing down a World Series is going to give
01:29up a lot for that player.
01:30And I think it's time for the Astros to make some of those moves in a couple months.
01:34You're exactly right.
01:35When you take a look at those dominant relievers, it doesn't have any point to have a dominant reliever when
01:39you're under .500.
01:40Not going to make the playoffs here at this point.
01:41It's supposed to be a young, you know, positional player, a young starting pitcher.
01:44Yeah, we'll keep around.
01:45No, you flip those guys for big-time prospects.
01:47And you certainly move on.
01:48No, you're right.
