00:00 Hello there. Finally we see some drier conditions move in across Scotland
00:05 through the next few days although blustery showers continue in the north
00:08 and west as a band of rain slowly sinks its way southwards across England and
00:13 Wales clipping Northern Ireland through tonight that's Tuesday night into
00:16 Wednesday morning. A rain warning across Western Scotland until 9 p.m. but notice
00:22 this front slowly shifts southwards we could see some heavy pulses across North
00:26 Wales, North West England and then a slight ridge comes in through Wednesday
00:30 and into Thursday so it turns cold away from this weather front here with a
00:34 chance of some frost but some bright skies to start the day on Thursday
00:38 before the winds pick up from the west across Scotland and Northern Ireland
00:43 another bank of showery rain moves in and we could see some heavy showers just
00:47 push northwards across England and Wales through Friday. So all in all yes some
00:52 wet weather to end the working week and also some strong winds particularly in
00:56 the north. For the time being this is the band of rain which will slowly push down
01:01 towards southern Scotland. Again notice some bright echoes that means some
01:06 heavier pulses of rain just coming and going a relentless wind delivering
01:10 showers to north and west Scotland. Across England and Wales we could see
01:14 some patchy rain and drizzle over the hills as well as the moors but mostly
01:18 drier skies before this rain pushes down towards Yorkshire as well as
01:22 Liverpool Bay extends towards the north and the west of Wales patchy drizzle
01:26 further east and we just continue to see some rain across the Isle of Man some
01:31 heavy pulses just lingering on across the far southeast of Northern Ireland.
01:35 Further north though it's a cold start to the day a bright one though we'll see
01:39 some sunshine. Further south always a lot of clouds to begin Wednesday. So through
01:44 the day the rain will pep up we're likely to see some heavy pulses as it
01:48 gradually sinks down towards mid Wales as well as the Midlands clearer skies
01:53 then across much of Northern Ireland by around mid morning into the afternoon
01:57 some sunshine for southern parts of Scotland a better day for Aberdeenshire
02:01 further west though a strong and cold wind with those blustery showers. Ahead
02:06 of this rain band we could see more clouds and some patchy rain and drizzle
02:09 the air remains warm here but certainly we'll see some wet weather to end the
02:14 day as this rain pushes down towards these parts. So that's the picture
02:18 through Wednesday afternoon some bright weather across Cumbria and Northumberland
02:21 as we head through the latter part of the day and temperatures in the south
02:25 20 or 21 but look at this in the north 10 11 12 13 degrees Celsius. So through
02:31 Wednesday evening and overnight this rain here continues its passage
02:36 southwards and southeastwards. What that means further north we will see some
02:40 clearer skies and still a wind delivering those showers through
02:45 Wednesday evening across the north and the west of Scotland frequent bursts
02:49 across Caithness, Orkney as well as Shetland with a driving wind. This rain
02:54 continues you can see again the odd pulse just rippling along the rain band
02:59 bringing the odd heavier burst to East Anglia, the Midlands, central southern
03:03 England. So a wet evening and a wet night into Thursday morning here but clearer
03:08 skies further north will allow temperatures to dip to single figures
03:12 and close to freezing across rural spots. So Northern Ireland could see lowest
03:17 temperature around minus 1 degrees Celsius the glens of Scotland perhaps
03:21 down to around zero but still double figures along central southern England
03:25 where that cloud remains through the first part of Thursday. So again a wet
03:29 morning on Thursday here. Elsewhere on Thursday brighter skies some sunshine
03:35 the winds have eased overnight so a pleasant morning albeit rather chilly
03:40 and then slowly that wind will continue to pick up through the afternoon ahead
03:44 of this next system here as the rain clears towards the low countries. So Kent
03:49 seeing some drizzly bits and pieces until probably mid-afternoon.
03:53 Temperatures then coming in around 16 to 18, 19 degrees Celsius but 12 or 13
03:58 further north. That sets the scene as we head into the weekend. Before that though
04:02 remember that weather front skirting England and Wales bringing with it
04:06 showers towards an awesome heavy rain further south and we'll see some
04:09 brighter weather, some sunshine and just a few showers for Scotland and Northern
04:14 Ireland turning chilly though into the weekend.
