00:26 while it seems like Brock Purdy certainly would fit into that grouping of quarterbacks,
00:30 the San Francisco 49ers have the number two most efficient passing attack. What's going to be
00:35 imperative this week is that they keep Brock Purdy clean because Brock Purdy has some massive splits,
00:41 pressured versus kept clean. If we look at his year to date statistics, when he is pressured,
00:47 he's averaging minus 0.32 EPA per attempt with only 36% success and 5.6 yards per attempt. And
00:54 when he is kept clean, he's up to plus 0.77 EPA per attempt, 71% success and 10.8 yards per attempt.
01:03 He is number one across the NFL in every single metric when he is kept clean. Now,
01:09 these two teams met last season in the playoffs and when Brock Purdy was kept clean, he averaged
01:15 9.4 yards per attempt. But when he was pressured in that game, that dropped all the way down to 4.6
01:22 yards per attempt. So we have a track record of a game against the Cowboys where the same exact
01:28 situation occurred as well as what he's done year to date. They need to keep him clean. Two ways to
01:34 do that, avoid obvious passing situations and build a lead. And in order to do that, they're
01:40 going to have to get some support from the ground game. But my one concern with Kyle Shanahan's
01:45 rushing attack against the Cowboys is that the Cowboys run defensive stats are skewed because
01:50 they are horrible against runs from three wide receiver sets. They literally rank number 31
01:57 across multiple metrics when teams are utilizing three plus wide receivers to hand the ball off to
02:03 their backs from. But when they are dealing with teams that are using two tight ends or two running
02:09 backs and 21 or 12 personnel like the 49ers like to utilize frequently, this run defense is a top
02:16 five run defense. So the Niners are going to have to spread the field a little bit more and try to
02:21 run out of lighter formations with more wide receivers on the field if they're going to hope
02:25 to have success on the ground. But the most important factor this game, keep Brock Purdy clean.
