00:00 Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim announced that the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education

00:06 will be among the biggest beneficiaries of the 2024 budget.

00:12 Anwar was reported to have made the announcement at the launch of the Medani Medicine Scheme and the Medani Afiat Programme in Ipoh today.

00:19 The 2024 budget will be laid out at the People's Court on 13 October.

00:25 The KPM received Rp 55.2 billion in the 2023 budget of the government, which was laid out by Anwar on 24 February.

00:36 Meanwhile, the KKM was allotted Rp 36.3 billion, including almost Rp 3 billion for more than 1,500 permanent health and contract employees.

00:48 Anwar said that the rationalisation of subsidies should be arranged so that government subsidies can be used for the truly needy, including government hospital care judges.
