00:00Newly elected Muda President Amira Ayesha Abdul Aziz says she will introduce a two-term limit for the party's top
00:07leadership posts as part of internal reforms.
00:11She said the move will prevent power from being concentrated among a select few people and abused, adding that reform
00:18must begin within the party before being applied at the national level.
00:22Amira said the proposed term limit was part of her manifesto during the party election.
00:28She also confirmed that she does not intend to hold the party's treasurer position to reflect her disagreement with holding
00:36conflicting positions.
00:37Having served as Acting President since 2023 when former party President Saeed Sadiq Saeed Abdul Rahman stepped down, Amira was
00:46elected Muda President on March 14 at the party's inaugural internal elections.
00:52Amira, the Putri Wangsa Assemblyman, also indicated that she is likely to defend her state's seat in the next Johor
00:59election, although the final decision will be made collectively by the party.
01:04She said Muda has no plans for political collaborations at this stage, but any such decision will be made collectively.
