00:16Frankie Victor, 59, a businessman dealing with furniture exports, died on February 21, a day after he was admitted for
00:24a heart attack and had a stent inserted.
00:26His wife Shanti raised questions about the oxygen machine connected to her husband at the hospital after he was transferred
00:34to the coronary care unit.
00:36However, she said she was reassured by a nurse that things were normal.
00:40Shanti also queried about consent for Victor to be sedated and claimed that differing explanations were given by hospital staff
00:48on what had happened to her husband.
00:50She urged the UMMC management and cardiology department to conduct a full and transparent investigation and said that no other
00:59families should ever have to suffer the way her family has.
01:02Meanwhile, Shanti's daughter said UMMC had reached out to her mother through email on March 18, stating that it had
01:09initiated an internal investigation and would keep her informed once it had been completed.
