00:26 Well, I can't even really play, so I can only play three notes.
00:31 And then it just went to- >> What are those three notes?
00:35 >> [LAUGH] >> Love it.
00:37 >> Four piece, almost uncomfortably raw punk band.
00:41 >> Oiled up, big, bold singer.
00:43 >> It's really just all energy.
00:46 I mean, it's energy and kind of like, rhetoric.
00:50 Like, we're not making beautiful melodies or anything.
00:53 It's all harsh sounds.
00:54 It's harsh words as well.
00:55 But if you agree with the message and you like to move around,
00:58 then you're gonna, I think most folk are gonna have a good time at a gig.
01:02 A lot of the writing comes kind of from the frustrations of just trying to like,
01:05 really growing up and living life in some severely difficult times for
01:11 not just musicians or artists, but just young people as a whole in this country.
01:16 We're all a bit screwed, so I think a lot of people feel the same.
01:19 So that's why when someone shouts about it on stage, they react to that.
01:24 They get involved and they get engaged.
01:27 And I think it's a lot of frustrations of life.
01:32 And I mean, there's political messages, there's social messages,
01:35 there's all that, but it's just the whole thing of it.
01:40 McCool's.
01:41 >> [LAUGH]
01:45 >> McCool's is one that we kind of
01:48 did a lot of our early gigs in and kind of figured out a lot of what this band
01:53 would end up being in, so that will always be quite special.
01:55 Again, favorite we've played probably is St Luke's though.
02:01 >> Yeah, we love St Luke's.
02:02 >> We done the last gig on a Friday, that was magic.
02:05 >> If the Friday was still going, then it would definitely be there, wouldn't it?
02:08 >> Yeah, so many early memories of going to gigs for the first time.
02:12 When you first have that buzz of seeing shows where it's not like a concert that
02:17 you've gone to with your mom and dad, but you're actually in a grassroots venue.
02:22 There's 100 people there, they're all really drunk and
02:25 throwing themselves about, and the band are like three inches from your face.
02:29 >> Yeah, it costs less than a ten.
02:31 >> We're so, so lucky just to be in Glasgow because there's so many venues.
02:36 I mean, besides the city, when you go through Edinburgh,
02:39 Edinburgh's got some amazing venues, but for the size of Glasgow,
02:42 it's just one on every corner.
02:45 It's so good, there's something for everyone every night of the week.
02:49 If you wanna go out and you wanna listen to live music,
02:52 you can find something that you'll enjoy,
02:54 which is such a great thing to grow up around when you're also an artist.
03:00 It gives you not only lots of opportunities to play and
03:05 kind of do your thing, but also you're exposed to so much.
03:11 And you definitely do end up taking that in, I think, and
03:14 that obviously influences a lot of what you end up doing as well.
03:17 (audience cheering)
