00:11the stretch between Marble Arch and Oxford Circus, with potential restrictions introduced

00:17further east towards Tottenham Court Road. The new plans depend on the government awarding

00:23the mayor new planning powers. Khan said Oxford Street was once the jewel in the Crown of

00:28Britain's retail sector, but there's no doubt it has suffered hugely over the last

00:33decade. He added, urgent action is needed to give the nation's most famous high street

00:39a new lease of life.

00:42An ambitious plan worth £14 billion to transform Heathrow Airport in the UK is all set to see

00:49the light of day after more than two decades of public debate. A third runway at Heathrow

00:55was first proposed in 2003 and would see an extra 260,000 more flights every year.

01:02However, there is still resistance due to environmental impacts.

01:06Speed restrictions have been introduced on the Automated Docklands Light Railway, also

01:11known as the DLR, after engineers discovered the trains were going too fast on some sections

01:17of the track. The speed limits were brought in after Transport for London engineers found

01:22that there wasn't enough of a safety margin between the speed of the trains and the maximum

01:27recommended speed.

01:29London Mayor Sadiq Khan has said there would be a clampdown in a bid to recoup the £376

01:36million owed to Transport for London in unpaid ultra-low-emission zone fines. Mr Khan told

01:43the London Assembly TfL was not unique in having unpaid penalty charge notices, and

01:49that 96% of vehicles in the capital were compliant with emissions standards so faced no charge.
