A chance to start well - but a tough one at that.

00:00 And just on that opener away at Chelsea on the Sunday,
00:03 what are the thoughts going into that?
00:04 Obviously, there is that gap in the sort of midfield that we spoke about,
00:08 but how confident do you feel that Liverpool can do at Stamford Bridge?
00:13 Look, I think if everyone, if you talk at a draw now,
00:16 I think everyone, you know, if they give you a draw, you take it,
00:18 because it's a tough opening.
00:20 I know Chelsea had their struggles last season,
00:22 and they've had a lot more changes to Liverpool over this summer.
00:25 Michele Pochettino coming in and spending a lot of money,
00:30 a lot of players leaving the club and their transfer business is far from done,
00:33 it looks like it.
00:35 But it's a tough opening, Liverpool don't exactly have a fantastic...
00:38 Plenty of draws there last season, it's nil-nil.
00:41 It wasn't the greatest of games, when Liverpool were in a bit of a tough moment.
00:47 But I think people, open day of the season, away at Chelsea,
00:51 difficult game, you come away with a point.
00:55 It's not disastrous, as you say.
00:57 You haven't got a proper defensive midfielder in, have you?
01:00 It's going to be makeshift, the clubs already said that,
01:02 the midfield that they play, or the way they set up,
01:05 isn't going to be what it's like for the rest of the season.
01:07 So it is going to be makeshift tactics,
01:10 and if you can come away with a draw, then you'd probably be happy.
01:14 And it's probably a good time to play Chelsea as well,
01:16 because they're only going to get better as new players bed in,
01:19 and Pochettino gets his ideas across.
01:21 So, good time to play Chelsea, I could see,
01:25 potentially a high-scoring game, to be honest.
01:27 I know, like I say, last season was a drab nil-nil,
01:30 but given that Liverpool have been very good on the attack,
01:33 and pretty poor at the back in pre-season,
01:36 that's the way this game could go.
