00:00 As Russia's seemingly ceaseless invasion of Ukraine continues and approaches the year
00:04 and a half mark, the citizens there continue to defend their country.
00:08 And that includes the women of Ukraine, even the ones who are carrying children.
00:13 These are just some of the pregnant women who are currently serving to protect their
00:16 country's sovereignty, and they are reportedly doing so up until around month 7 of their
00:20 term.
00:21 Which is why a married couple founded the non-profit Zemlyachky, an organization which
00:26 seeks to provide the needed particulars for women on the battlefield.
00:29 Previously that meant outfitting female soldiers with properly fitting uniforms, boots, and
00:34 providing feminine hygiene products.
00:36 Now as the war continues, but life does as well, that means outfitting some with uniforms
00:41 which can accommodate a baby belly.
00:43 The non-profit was first contacted by a female sniper who asked about pants that could specifically
00:48 accommodate her growing belly.
00:49 Once they provided them for her, they began to get more and more requests to provide uniforms
00:54 for these brave women.
00:55 With one of the organization's co-founders, Andrii Kolesnik, telling Insider, "There
00:59 are a lot of inspiring stories, but we can't say they're always inspiring because we
01:03 are talking about war.
01:05 All of these stories will be called inspiring when we achieve victory."
01:08 According to Ukraine's parliament, at least 60,000 women are currently serving in their
01:13 military with more than 5,000 in combat units.
